According to the "European Times" WeChat public account "East to West" news, on January 10, local time, Wang Yingyang, the tenth president of the French Fujian Association, died in Paris at the age of 72 due to ineffective medical treatment.

A native of Anxi County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, Wang Yingyang was born on November 18, 1950 in Saigon City (now Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. When he was a teenager, he studied at a famous French school in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, and went to France to study medicine at the age of 18, with excellent results, obtained a doctorate in medicine, and engaged in a doctorial career in France for more than 40 years. At the beginning of 2021, he was elected as the president of the French Hokkien Association.

Wang Yingyang was an easy-going person, patriotic and patriotic, enthusiastic about public welfare, striving to carry forward and inherit Fujian culture, actively building a bridge of Sino-French exchanges, and promoting the integration of villagers in France into the local area. During his tenure, although he was plagued by illness, he still worked tirelessly and conscientiously to do a good job in the meeting, and was deeply admired and loved by the villagers. Especially when the new crown pneumonia is raging in France, on the one hand, he organized the villagers of the Fujian Guild Hall in France to fight the epidemic, on the other hand, like many overseas Chinese living overseas, he was concerned about his ancestral (home) country, cared about the country where he lived, and launched an organization for everyone to take action, had money to pay, made a strong contribution, and did his best to throw himself into this epidemic prevention war. A total of 13,600 euros were donated to the French Public Hospital Foundation for the fight against the epidemic. In addition to serving the Chinese community, he has long been president of the Team Doctor Association of Badminton and The Paris Regional Badminton Team, and has also served as the team doctor of the Paris Boxing Team, contributing to the development of sports in France. He served as vice president of the French Association of Cambodian Doctors and served Cambodian compatriots in France for many years, which was well received. He is also involved in the work of Doctors Without Borders and in the treatment of vulnerable groups of women.

Founded in 1994, the French Fujian Association was the earliest overseas Chinese community organization for Fujian villagers in France. Since its inception, under the leadership of successive presidents, it has actively contacted the Fujian villagers in France, and made positive contributions in patriotism and love for the country, unity of the villagers, promotion of integration, protection of rights and interests, enlivening the lives of the villagers, inheritance and development of Chinese culture, etc., and has developed into an important force in the French overseas Chinese community, with a fixed site in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, which has been highly valued and commended by the French local government, and has also been highly praised by the Chinese Embassy in France and the governments at all levels in Fujian Province.

Wang Yingyang has joined the association since the founding of the Fujian Guild, and has been actively involved in the affairs of the Fujian Guild for a long time, using his knowledge to serve the majority of villagers, and has been praised by everyone, and has served as the vice president of the association. At the beginning of 2021, nominated by dai Yingtai, the ninth outgoing president, and agreed by all the colleagues of the board of supervisors, Wang Yingyang will serve as the president of the 10th presidency, which is the second president after dai Yingtai, the founding president. On the occasion of taking over as president, Wang Yingyang once said that the Fujian villagers in France have taken root, developed and grown, and made remarkable achievements in their careers, which have contributed to the economic prosperity of the country of residence and to the economic construction and social development of their hometown Fujian. He will continue to carry forward the fine traditions of the association, unite and serve the villagers, build a communication platform between Fujian and France, and contribute to the development of the Fujian association, the prosperity of overseas Chinese communities, and the friendship between China and France.

After Wang Yingyang's death, the French Fujian Association set up a funeral committee headed by Dai Yingtai and Zhou Bingyuan, and set up a spiritual hall in the French Fujian Association for all walks of life in France and French friends to express their sorrows.
