According to filings with the SEC, as of August 7, 2021, Bobby Kotic held 3,908,698 shares of Activision Blizzard. Activision Blizzard will file an updated proxy statement with the SEC in due course, based on Kotic's previously disclosed ownership, at a rate of $95 per share, with his stock valued at $371,326,310.

And, if Microsoft decides to part ways with the controversial executive, Kotic could make millions more from the deal. It has now been confirmed that Kotic will continue to serve as CEO of Activision Blizzard throughout the acquisition process. Once the deal closes, Activision Blizzard's business will report to Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer. However, today's announcement did not specify whether Kotic would leave Activision Blizzard after the deal was completed.

According to a power of attorney filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last year, Kotick is the only Activision Blizzard executive with a change of control protection clause that would give him $292,970,341 in benefits if he is fired after the acquisition for no reason or for good reason.
