Prime Minister of Ukraine: We are willing to promote more and better results in Ukraine-China relations

Kiev, 19 Jan (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in Ukraine held a reception on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine on 18 January. Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmegar sent a congratulatory letter to the reception, expressing his willingness to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to promote more and better results in Ukrainian-Chinese relations.

Ukrainian Cabinet Minister Nemchinov read a congratulatory letter at the reception. In his congratulatory letter, Shmeigar highly affirmed the achievements in bilateral relations and wished the Beijing Winter Olympics a complete success.

Arahamiya, chairman of the parliamentary caucus of the Ukrainian People's Public Servants Party, and Shenik, deputy foreign minister of Ukraine in charge of China affairs, delivered speeches at the reception, expressing warm congratulations on the 30 th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and China, and believing that on the basis of the good development of the relations between the two countries, the relations between the two countries will continue to tap their potential, give play to their unique advantages, and usher in a better tomorrow.

In his speech, Fan Xianrong, Chinese ambassador to Ukraine, said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine 30 years ago, the relations between the two countries have continuously made new developments, the fields of cooperation have been continuously expanded and deepened, and they have become each other's important strategic partners. China became Ukraine's largest trading partner, and Uzbekistan became the largest trading country for China to import corn, sunflower oil and sunflower meal. In July last year, the two heads of state had a telephone conversation and reached many consensuses and pointed out the direction for the further development of bilateral relations. Ukraine is a friend and partner of China, the two peoples have always been friendly to each other, and China will always firmly develop friendly and cooperative relations with Ukraine.

A photo exhibition on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uzbekistan was held at the reception, showing the achievements of cooperation in the fields of political exchanges, pragmatic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. Representatives of Ukrainian political circles, academic circles and other fields attended the reception.
