Covid-19 situation in Guangdong Province

At 0-24:00 on January 18, there were 7 new locally confirmed cases in the province, 1 case reported in Shenzhen and 6 cases in Zhuhai. One new case of local asymptomatic infection was reported in Guangzhou.

There were 2 new imported confirmed cases in the province, 1 case was reported in Guangzhou from the United States, and 1 case was reported in Foshan from Saudi Arabia. There were 4 new cases of asymptomatic infection imported from abroad, 3 cases were reported in Guangzhou, from the United States, Australia and Sudan, and 1 case was reported from Shenzhen from Singapore. Thirteen new cases have been discharged from the hospital, and 231 cases are currently in hospital.

As of 24:00 on January 18, the province has reported a total of 7,044 cases of positive COVID-19 infection (5,025 cases imported from abroad), of which 3,684 cases are confirmed cases (2,045 cases imported from abroad) and 3,360 cases of asymptomatic infection (2,980 cases imported from abroad).
