Western Australia has recorded two new local cases of COVID-19, both linked to the Cockburn cluster and involving massage parlors.

Meanwhile, Disability Services Provider Active announced that Perth's annual City to Surf charity event has been cancelled for the third consecutive year due to "ongoing risks posed by COVID-19".

"The decision not to hold the event this year was very difficult, but the health and safety of all Western Australians comes first, so we consider this to be the most responsible decision," said Active CHIEF Michael Heath.

"Our goal is to bring back this beloved community fun run in 2023."

The Department of Health of Western Australia said in a statement that contact tracers are now dealing with two new CASEs of COVID-19 to identify potential points of contact.

By early afternoon, four new exposure sites had been identified — Priceline Pharmacy at the Kwinana Marketplace Mall, Perth City Car Park on Murray Street, Curtin University's library and CBD's Toastface Grillah Café.

Previously, Western Australia's indoor mask regulations were expanded to the southwest overnight.

Three massage parlors in Perth have been identified as "high-risk" exposure sites associated with the current cluster.

Anyone who has ever appeared on a site listed on the Healthy Western Australia website should be tested and quarantined immediately until they receive a negative test.
