On January 19, the roof of the station of Xiayuan Station of Taiyuan Rail Transit Line 1, which was built with the participation of the 14th Bureau of China Railway, was successfully poured, which has the largest interchange hall in the whole line, and the construction adopts the new process of "cover digging reverse method". The pouring is the top "ceiling" of the whole station, and the construction difficulty and consumables used are among the few in the entire line station, which is a major construction node in the overall process.

Metro Line 1, Lot 103, Xiayuan Station, is located at the intersection of Yingzexi Avenue and Heping Road. The reporter saw at the scene that 3 pump trucks were pouring construction all the time, and the working surface of Nuoda was gradually filled with concrete. Huang Shuo, the manager of the construction area of the lot, introduced that the "cover digging reverse method" process is adopted here, and the top plate of the station is completed first, and then the middle plate is dried, and finally the bottom plate is completed. This "top-to-bottom" sequence is exactly the opposite of the "bottom-up" construction of traditional subway stations, the advantage is to reduce the risk of structural construction and environmental risks, and it is basically not affected by bad weather such as wind and rain in the later construction, which is the first case in the construction of Taiyuan Metro Line 1.

As the business card of Taiyuan Metro, Xiayuan Station has a large passenger flow and transfer volume, is one of the most important transfer stations in the line network, and is a public transportation interchange hub in Hexi. As a key station and characteristic station in the taiyuan rail transit line network, in order to reduce the impact of the column network on the transfer flow line, increase the visual permeability of the transfer space, and improve the transfer comfort, the large-span structural system is adopted.

The station has three underground floors, from the bottom to the top are the platform level, the station hall level, and the interchange halls of Lines 1 and 3. This time, the "ceiling" of the interchange hall was poured, which reached an area of 2600 square meters, equivalent to the size of six standard basketball courts. Such a large area, coupled with the fact that it is close to buildings such as Park Times City and main roads such as Yingzexi Avenue, the construction difficulty has increased accordingly. In this regard, the project department adopted a lot of innovative construction to ensure safety, in which 17 steel pipe columns with a length of about 29 meters were buried vertically in advance to support the various top plates and bottom plates. At the same time, a 1.7-meter-high section steel was added to the "skeleton" of the station, thus making the main body of the station more robust and durable.

Huang Shuo, manager of the construction area, said that the pouring of the station roof slab this time, the amount of concrete poured reached 3500 cubic meters, requiring three pump trucks to operate uninterruptedly for three days and three nights. Before pouring, 1300 tons of steel reinforcement alone were used. For example, in a six-story residential building, only 100 tons of steel reinforcement is required to build a new unit. In contrast, the amount of steel reinforcement used on the roof of the station is quite large, thus ensuring the absolute safety of later construction and use. In the next step, the station will carry out the construction of the sub-roof, including the excavation of the interchange hall.

Taiyuan Rail Transit Line 1 is jointly invested and constructed by China Railway Construction Investment Group, the first phase of the project is 28.737 kilometers long, at present, all 21 stations have entered the construction site, 3 stations have completed the main construction, and it is planned to open for operation at the end of 2024.
