After Microsoft's $68.7 billion in cash acquisition of Activision Blizzard (to be completed by June 2023), players not only shocked Microsoft's ability to pay money, but also questioned why Activision Blizzard was so expensive. Now a 2021 game sales ranking in the U.S. may prove it.

A new report GamesIndustry.biz, which counts the 2021 revenue generated by games in the U.S. region, reached $60.4 billion, an increase of 8% year-on-year, and game software accounted for the vast majority of revenue, about 85%, about $51.7 billion.
They counted the top 20 game sales in the United States, with Activision's Call of Duty winning the top spot in the U.S. for the 13th consecutive year. Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War came in first and second, respectively. Here's the full list: (excluding digital sales)
