After Wi-Fi 6, wireless network technology will enter the seventh generation. January 19 news, today MediaTek for the first time to show its seventh generation of wireless network technology - Wi-Fi 7 technology. The results show that MediaTek's Wi-Fi 7 technology has the advantages of ultra-high-speed and low-latency transmission.

Wi-Fi 7 technology
Although the official did not give specific figures, but previous data show that the peak speed of the technology can reach about 30Gbps, using 320Mhz channel and 4K quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) technology, Wi-Fi 7 speed is theoretically 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6.
Alan Hsu, vice president and general manager of MediaTek's intelligent connectivity business, said: "The launch of Wi-Fi 7 will mark the first time Wi-Fi has truly become a wired/Ethernet alternative to ultra-high bandwidth applications. "Advances in Wi-Fi 7 in new features such as channel width, QAM, and multilink operation (MLO) will make Wi-Fi 7 extremely attractive to devices including flagship smartphones, PCs, consumer devices, and vertical industries such as retail and industrial."
MediaTek has been involved in the development of the Wi-Fi 7 standard since its inception and was one of the first adopters of Wi-Fi 7 technology. It is reported that MediaTek's Wi-Fi 7 products will be available in 2023. If this new technology can be applied next year, it may be the first to benefit mobile phone manufacturers, whose flagship new machines are expected to take the lead in using Wi-Fi 7 technology, thereby improving the Internet experience of mobile phone users.
