Later, Cixi once again interfered in the government's politics, issued a decree on the government, and Tan Si and others who participated in the law change movement were also ordered to be arrested, and the 103-day Hundred Days Restoration was declared a failure.
After Tan Si and his colleagues were arrested, they were escorted to Caishikou and beheaded. The most distressing thing was that on the way to the execution site of the six people, the people actually threw vegetable leaves at them, and when they were beheaded, some even clapped their hands and applauded, as if it was difficult to let go of their hatred after killing them.
