Hello everyone! I am a Burmese Chinese Daisen. There are numerous jadeite mining areas in northern Myanmar, but two of the many mining areas are representative of the production of high-quality jadeite. Today we will get to know these two mining areas.
1. Longken Field Area
Longken is also called Longken or Longkeng, in several major fields in Myanmar, the quality of jadeite produced varies, but experts reported that the world's best quality jadeite is produced in myanmar's Longken jadeite mining area, which is located in the northwest of Myanmar, 136 kilometers northwest of Myitkyina and 102 kilometers northwest of MengGong.
The area has both primary ore and alluvial placer mines, mostly alluvial placer mines, and the area producing high-quality jadeite is about 1400 square kilometers. There are three jade mining camps, including one primary mine and two impact placer mines.
Over the years, many amazing rough gravel stones have been found in the Longkenchang area, a piece of jade weighing 20 tons was found in 1979, a new jade stone named "820" stone was mined here in 1981, and a 400 kg of high-grade jade was found in 1986.
The jade here is characterized by a white lard base, with little performance on the outside and a color diamond on the inside. There are also some ancient abandoned jade materials here, called "lifting stones". The jade produced is crystalline and granular. The rough characteristics of Longken Field Mouth are mainly skinless jade, there are also individual jade, individual jade shell thickness is different, most of the skin sand grains are coarse, the seed difference sand is unevenly turned, and some pine flowers are particularly good in color, fresh and colorful.
2. Pagan
The Pakan mine has the longest history of mining river alluvial placer ore, producing a large number of high-quality jadeite, located in the middle reaches of the Ulu River. It is a long strip of villages and towns surrounded by mining areas such as Papai, Qiaowu, Sanmu, Mameng, Modang and Moxian.
There is a place opposite the old Pakang field that belongs to Pakang called "Le Ma Arch", which means according to the Burmese translation, that is, there may be emeralds when dug up.
The jadeite rough shell produced in the Pakang field area is very thin and very fine, the color is generally gray-brown or gray-black, and some jadeite rough also has a black waxy skin.
And here there are often yellow salt sand, black sand skin jadeite, is the world's most famous jadeite mining area, the jadeite produced is mostly good quality, rich in color, and changeable shapes. Pakan is now the main concentration of jade factories, so the rough mined here has also added a sense of spiritual luck. Many powerful jewelers have mined rough jadeite from the area, which constitutes a phenomenon of today's many houses and large populations.
For the various jadeite fields in Myanmar, although the blocks produced are different, it is not easy to distinguish them. Dasheng would like to tell you that if you want to enter the jadeite industry, you must step by step through understanding the characteristics of each field mouth, in order to be able to become skilled and make accurate judgments.
