Earlier today, Shams reported that Chandler Parsons, a veteran who played in the NBA for nine seasons, will retire from basketball. Parsons then updated social media, personally confirmed the news, and issued a retirement statement.
Parsons posted photos of himself playing in the NBA on social media, including his experience playing for the Rockets, Lone Rangers, Grizzlies and Hawks, and he also posted photos of himself with Harden and Nowitzki, two of the most important teammates in his career.
Parsons wrote on social media: "I don't know where to start... The last few years have been crazy and I've seen a lot of things. I've been through a lot of ups and downs and I want to thank everyone I've met. My dream is to be an NBA player, I don't even have a concept of that, I don't even think about what will happen, I just want to compete at the highest level, play. I can proudly say that I did. Although the experience wasn't perfect, it was explosive and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped me achieve my dreams. My family, my friends, my college and high school. University of Florida, thank you for preparing me for this journey. Rockets, Lone Rangers, Grizzlies and Eagles, thank you for giving me a chance to make my dreams come true and for trusting me. Parsons was drafted in 2011, was selected by the Rockets with the 38th pick in the second round, and has played for the Rockets, Lone Rangers, Grizzlies, Hawks and other teams in his career, playing in a total of 440 games in his career, averaging 12.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, and was named to the second team of the best rookie team in his rookie season. He has always had a resounding nickname: "NBA Rich and Handsome"!
It is worth mentioning that in the first three seasons of Parsons' career, he played in a total of 213 games for the Rockets, averaging 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 34.5 minutes per game. In all three seasons, he made a total of $2.7 million.
