How can the rolling red dust ask for the "Tao"? Zhuangzi: No comparison, just the Tao

author:Cicada Hero

"Three twilights and four nights", this may be the most familiar and strange one in the fable of "Zhuangzi".

How can the rolling red dust ask for the "Tao"? Zhuangzi: No comparison, just the Tao

If you really understand it, you will find that Zhuangzi is really very "damaged", using this parable to "put" almost everyone in it, and we are completely unaware.

The Sniper Gong endowed the man with the words, "Towards three and twilight at four." "The snipers are angry. "Then it is four and three." "Everyone is happy. - "Zhuangzi QiWu Theory"

The fable says that an old man who keeps monkeys is called "Sniper Gong", and one day he said to the monkeys, I will feed you 3 chestnuts in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. The monkey was angry when he heard it. The sniper said, well, or 4 in the morning, 3 in the afternoon, the monkeys will be happy.

Just such a simple fable, what is Zhuangzi talking about?

In fact, there is a saying in the back, called "the name is not lost, but the mood is used."

"Three twilight four" or "four twilight three", a day is 7 chestnuts, this is called "the name is not lost", but the monkeys think that "four twilight three" is good, "three twilight four" is not good, a joy and angry, is this not very stupid?

As our readers, of course, from the perspective of the sniper, we followed Zhuangzi and laughed at this group of stupid monkeys.

As everyone knows, Zhuangzi is not laughing at monkeys, but people.

People, most people like to compare, this is good, that is not good, one by one, are looking for trouble, and what is the difference between them and the monkeys in the fables?

Why do you see zhuangzi laughing at people? Let's see by looking at the text that precedes the parable:

Therefore, it is to lift the Ying and the Yang, the Li and the Xi Shi, the Restoration of the Monster, and the Dao Tong as one. Its division is also, and its division is also; its division is also destroyed. Whatever is accomplished and destroyed, it is compounded into one.

Zhuangzi said that the small thatch and the big pillar, the ugly monster and the beautiful Xi Shi, and all kinds of things in the world are the same from the Taoist point of view.

Then he said that things have become or have been destroyed, and the same is true from the point of view of the Word.

Who can understand this? Don't understand, right? Zhuangzi said well, tell a parable, what you can't understand is the monkey in the fable, poor we are still clever, you say Zhuangzi is not damaged?

Subsequently, Zhuangzi said this passage:

The only one who knows is one, for the sake of not using it, but for the sake of all meanness. Those who are mediocre also use it; those who use it also use it; those who use it also have it; those who use it also have it; those who use it also have it; those who use it also have it; those who use it also use Because it is already, it is not known, it is called the way.

Notice the last two sentences: I don't know what it is, it's the way. Zhuangzi believes that only when you regard size, beauty, ugliness, and success or failure as the same thing, that is, after "knowing the knowledge into one", can you step by step reach the realm of the Tao of unity. If you still have a discriminating mind, it means that you have deviated from the path.

In simple terms, six words: "No comparison, but the Word."

"Comparison" is easy to breed greed and jealousy, leading to arrogance and arrogance, just like the previous article in the "Theory of QiWu" said, "with the connection as a construct, day by day with the heart to fight." A person who likes to "compare" is entangled in external objects every day, constantly mentally depleted, and seeks his own troubles.

Therefore, "not comparing", to say the larger, is to get the "Tao", to discover the true meaning of life, to say smaller, to reduce the troubles of reality.

So how to overcome this inherent weakness of human nature and achieve "no comparison"?

In a simple sentence, it is to subvert the old cognition and get out of the limitations of thinking, what Lao Tzu and Zhuangzi have been talking about, which is exactly this thing.

First, you have to be aware that there is a problem, not to be in a state of "ignorance." I have troubles, but I don't know why.

The second is to detach from reality. Confined to the real three-dimensional world, it is difficult for you not to compare. So what Zhuangzi said is "the Tao is one", standing at the height of the Tao, the whole human race is very small, let alone our little thoughts?

Of course, we don't have the height of Zhuangzi, but a little higher than where we are now, can we still do it, understand?

Finally, it is to keep improving. The Tao Te Ching says that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", and in "Zhuangzi Getaway", it is said that Dapeng rises to ninety thousand miles and depends on the wind, and "the accumulation of the wind is not thick, then its negative wings are also powerless", all emphasizing a process of "accumulation". Day by day, the soul will be sublimated.

At the end of the parable, Zhuangzi concludes:

"It is a saint and a right and a wrong, and a heavenly jun is said to be two lines."

That is to say, we should not have subjective right and wrong, but believe that the heavens are fair, you eat 4 chestnuts in the morning, there are 3 left in the afternoon; only 3 in the morning, and 4 in the afternoon. Everyone has their own way, their own blessings, their own debts to repay, and their own bittersweets and sorrows.

Without comparison, we can live in harmony with the world, we get closer and closer to the Tao, and life takes on a relaxed, joyful state.
