From November to December 2021, the 12th National Folk Song and Dance Exhibition and Performance Activity of Yunnan Province, sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Yunnan Province and the Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission, was held in the form of "online exhibition", with more than 1,000 cast members from 86 works from 16 prefectures (cities) in the province participating. The performance program is mainly based on three categories: vocal music, dance and instrumental music, and the program style is divided into two categories: traditional and innovative. After the evaluation of the Award Committee, reviewed by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee, a total of 5 inheritance awards, 10 gold awards, 12 silver awards, 18 bronze awards and 36 excellence awards were awarded.
Heritage Award - "Little Lantern In All Directions"
At this event, the 6 works selected and sent by Kunming City were awarded, namely 1 inheritance award, 2 gold awards and 3 excellent awards. Among them, the traditional dance "Little Lantern Four Directions" won the Inheritance Award, the innovative dance "Flat Drum Tuan Yi Long", the traditional instrumental music "Dian Yun Gong and Drum Farce Stage" won the gold award, the traditional vocal music "Upside Down", the innovative vocal music "Little Six Teasing Flowers", and the traditional dance "Yi Fork Dance" won the Excellence Award.

Yunnan Provincial Ethnic Folk Song and Dance Exhibition is held every two years, and has been successfully held for 12 sessions, forming nearly 600 excellent works, cultivating and training a large number of ethnic artistic talents, and becoming an important brand of Yunnan Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition.
