Section 2: Sentences, Paragraphs, and Passages
The teaching purpose of this section: to let students understand the basic requirements of sentences, paragraphs and articles of the article: the sentences should be smooth, the paragraphs should be hierarchical, each article has a central idea, and the composition should be written around this center.
Students, in the first lesson, we explored the relationship between speech and composition, so that everyone understood that writing is not difficult, and that composition is to speak with words, and speech is the basis of composition.
From this lesson onwards, the teacher will teach the students the methods and techniques of turning speech into composition.
In order to let the students grasp the method of turning speech into composition as soon as possible, first make two requests to the students, as long as you do it carefully according to the requirements of the teacher, you will soon be able to appreciate the simplicity and fun of composition.
First, starting from today's lesson, each student is required to take notes and record the key points prompted by the teacher;
The second is to write a diary every day, unlimited words, write down what you see, hear and think, and develop the good habit of reading, thinking and remembering more.
Let's start with the content of this lesson, students first look at the following sentences.
Example 1:
Are you going to school tomorrow? (Ask a sentence, ask a question)
Tomorrow I'll go to school. (Declarative sentence, describing one thing)
Tomorrow you must go to school. (Imperative sentence, what is asked)
I'm going to school tomorrow, so happy! (Exclamation sentence, indicating happiness)
Example 2:
Bob, what are you doing? (Ask a sentence, ask a question)
Mom, I was watching the flowers on the balcony. (Declarative sentence, describing one thing)
You be careful not to break the pot against the ground. (Imperative sentence, asking not to do anything)
I know, this pot of flowers is so beautiful! (Exclamation sentence, praise)
Example 3:
Mom, why do my classmates laugh at me? (Ask a sentence, ask a question)
That's because you love to cry your nose too much. (Declarative sentence, stating the facts)
I'll never cry my nose again, and I won't let them laugh at me. (Imperative sentence, asking not to do anything)
You're a good boy! (Exclamation sentence, indicating praise)
We say a sentence is a sentence, a sentence can express a complete meaning, such as asking a question, telling others something, asking others to do something, not doing anything, or expressing a certain feeling.
According to the tone of our speech, sentences can be divided into four types: question sentences, declarative sentences, imperative sentences and exclamation sentences.
The sentence used to ask a question is called a question sentence. Such as: "What are you doing?" "Why hasn't he come yet?"
The one used to narrate and explain the facts is called the declarative sentence, and the declarative sentence is the most used by us. For example: "I didn't go to school today." "I've eaten."
Sentences used to express feelings are called exclamations. For example: "Yesterday was a real pleasure!" "This flower is so beautiful!"
There are also sentences used to ask others to do or cannot do anything, which is called a prayer sentence. For example: "Students must complete their homework today!" "Don't make small moves during class!"
What is the composition of a sentence? The linguistic units that make up a sentence are words, i.e. words and phrases (phrases). (Words are the smallest unit of language that can be used independently.) Phrases, also called phrases, are composed of two or more words (according to certain grammatical rules) (language units that express a certain meaning), so when we speak, we must accurately express our own meaning, first of all, we must be familiar with the words and understand the meaning of each word, which requires you to learn more and accumulate more in ordinary times.
Now let's summarize what we have just said, a sentence we usually say is a sentence, in general, according to the tone of our usual speech there are four kinds of sentences: statement sentence, question sentence, prayer sentence and exclamation sentence. Sentences are composed of words and phrases, we must correctly express our meaning, usually we must master more words and phrases (vocabulary).
Let's look at another passage:
Yesterday morning, on my way home, I met my mother at the same table, Xiaoming. She asked me if Bob had gone to school, and I said that Bob hadn't been in the classroom all day. Xiaoming's mother was very anxious to hear this, so she asked me to go around with her to find Xiaoming. We found him in the Internet café next to the school after dark. It turned out that Xiaoming didn't go to school for a day yesterday because he went to an Internet café to play games.
If we speak for a longer period of time, there will be a pause in the middle of the speech. When we want to express a complex thing or idea, we often have to say many sentences, and these words are connected together as a paragraph. That is to say, a short meaning can be expressed in one sentence, a complex meaning can be expressed with a paragraph, and a paragraph is also called a paragraph, which is composed of several or more sentences.
A paragraph is the basic unit that makes up an article, with a clear sign of a newline. By setting paragraphs to make the article line and stop, it forms a more eye-catching and clear impression on the reader's vision, which is convenient for readers to read, understand and reminisce, and is also conducive to the author's clear and organized expression of content.
After saying a paragraph and then saying a paragraph: We write an article on the article, so what is a piece? In ancient times, before humans invented paper, articles were written on bamboo janes, and in order to maintain the integrity of the front and back, people used ropes to compile bamboo janes with written words together and called them "chapters". The article now refers to the complete article.
Please remember that when we write an essay, it is composed of paragraphs, and each paragraph is composed of sentences, that is, sentences, and a sentence is composed of words and phrases. This is the sentence, paragraph, and article of the article, and it is also the most basic knowledge of writing the article.
