Honoré de Balzac, a French novelist known as the "father of the modern French novel", entered law school in 1816 and resolutely embarked on the path of literary creation despite his parents' opposition after graduation. His business and corporate failures weighed him on, dragging him down for life, but it also laid a solid foundation for his future creations. In 1829, he published the novel "The Party Man of Juan", the first step in realist creation, and the 1831 publication of "Donkey Skin" made him famous. He wanted to make himself a Napoleon in the literary career, and in the 30s and 40s he created a large number of works with amazing perseverance, and wrote a lot of works in his lifetime, writing 91 novels and shaping 2,472 vivid characters, collectively known as "The Comedy of Man". The Comedy of Man has been hailed as "the encyclopedia of capitalist society." However, due to early debts and the hardships of writing, he died on August 18, 1850 due to overwork.
