Although he was wounded in three places on his body, he endured the pain with tenacious perseverance, jumped out of the trench with great force, and swept toward the enemy with a submachine gun.
The two battle groups on the right threw a few rows of grenades at the enemy, and then jumped out of the trenches and engaged in a brutal white-knife battle with the enemy, each of whom had already put life and death aside, and they had only one belief in their hearts: even if they gave up their lives, they must hold their positions!
One person is not afraid of death, a hundred people are difficult to resist, after a fierce rush, the enemy can not support, was driven out of the position.
After the enemy's counterattacks were repeatedly defeated, he became angry and embarrassed, so he used aircraft to bomb and artillery bombardment. Although the Volunteer fortifications were destroyed and Position 5 was almost overturned by artillery fire, the Volunteer soldiers continued to use the craters as cover to continue to resist the enemy's counterattack.
In this way, this platoon of the volunteer army fought fiercely with the enemy who was dozens of times larger than ours for one day, and successively crushed seventeen attacks of the enemy from one company to two battalions, killing and wounding the enemy and firmly holding the position. Only the squad leader Zhang Zhifu killed and wounded more than a hundred enemy people. But the volunteers also paid a considerable price in casualties, and the entire platoon ended up with only four soldiers left.
