Tian Weien was awarded the title of "Advanced Individual in National Courts" by the Supreme People's Court and is one of the 9 comrades on the list in Guangdong Province. In January 1997, Tian Wei'en entered the lighthouse court, took root in the countryside, served the grassroots for 25 spring and autumn seasons, and dedicated the best years of his life to the cause of trial. The years have aged his countenance, precipitated the rationality and connotation of a judge, and what has not changed is his pursuit of fairness and justice and the original intention of the judiciary for the people.

Tian Weien graduated from the former Heyuan Normal School and taught and educated people in rural schools after graduation. In January 1997, Tian Weien was transferred to the Lighthouse Court. Due to the "interlacing like a mountain" and the unfamiliarity of the business, Tian Weien began to be a little uncomfortable, and his enthusiasm for work declined, but under the care and help of the old president and colleagues, he quickly adjusted his mentality and quickly entered the role.

"After entering the courtroom, whenever I saw the old judges resolve disputes one by one and settle disputes for the local people, I sincerely admired them, and I gradually became interested and enthusiastic about the sacred profession of adjudication under the influence of the old judges. I secretly resolved to become a judge as soon as possible. Looking back on the growth process, Tian Weien has a lot of feelings.

To be a judge, you must first pass the National Judicial Examination. Tian Weien bought back a bunch of books on legal knowledge, read them behind closed doors after work, and participated in the law industry study in the first year of his employment, and signed up for the law self-study exam the next year (that is, 1998).

The heavens pay off. Tian Weien obtained a bachelor's degree in law in 2000 and 2002, and passed the national judicial examination in 2008. In 2010, Tian Became a Judge and took up the trial position.

More than 2,000 cases

End in his hands

Since engaging in the work of judges, Tian Weien has taken "striving to let the people feel fairness and justice in every judicial case" as his work goal, and has always adhered to the working principle of "being able to adjust and adjust, when the judgment is judged, the adjustment and judgment are combined, and the case is closed", and more than 2,000 cases have been concluded by him.

The Lighthouse Court is equipped with 1 judge and 3 clerks, and has jurisdiction over 8 townships of Lighthouse, Chuantang, Suncheon, Luohu, Zhangxi, Shangguan, Shuangjiang and Jiantou. Especially in recent years, while the economy of the 8 townships has developed rapidly, contradictions and disputes such as private lending, labor services, marriages, and sales contracts have increased, and the number of cases accepted has increased significantly, with less than 200 cases accepted in 2010 and 455 cases in 2021.

In the face of heavy work tasks and work pressure, Tian Weien did not cry bitterly and tired, on the one hand, he united and led all the court personnel to work overtime, devote themselves to work wholeheartedly, and improve work efficiency; on the other hand, he studied the latest trial business knowledge while handling cases, actively explored ways to improve service procedures, give full play to court trial functions, and reform court trial methods, cracked the problems that restricted the quality and efficiency of trials, and greatly improved work efficiency.

A responsible person of the Dongyuan County People's Court commented that 100% of the cases handled by Tian Weien were concluded within the trial limit, the rate of zero petition complaints, the rate of case withdrawal, and the rate of civil first-instance judgments and interest lawsuits have always been among the best in the court. In the hands of Tian Weien, one dispute after another was resolved, one contradiction after another was resolved, and one dispute after another was settled.

"Whenever the case I undertook can be mediated and concluded, or can be settled, my sense of accomplishment and honor as a judge comes out of nowhere, and it also adds confidence and motivation to my sacred profession." Tian Weien said.

The interests of the masses are no small matter

With the development of economy and society, the types of cases accepted by the lighthouse court have gradually increased, and larger cases with litigation targets have appeared from time to time, some even reaching more than 20 million yuan, regardless of the size of the litigation target or the complexity and simplicity, Tian Weien has treated it equally and cautiously.

"For many people, it may be a lifetime to fight such a lawsuit, and the small things in the eyes of others are a big thing for the parties concerned." This is a sentence that Tian Weien often hangs in his mouth, and he is even more personally practicing to safeguard the interests of the masses.

In 2017, Tian Weien accepted a private lending dispute, and the subject of the case was only more than 1,000 yuan. The plaintiff in the case, Qiu Mou, was 74 years old, and in 1999, he lent Ou more than 1,000 yuan, and after Ou entered his wife's home, Qiu no longer had any news of Ou. To this end, Qiu mou has complained to the relevant departments many times, but there is no result, and finally he has to sue the court. After the case clerk mailed the litigation documents according to the address provided by Qiu Mou more than 10 years ago, Tian Weien took the clerk to the Chuantang Judicial Office, through which he found the director of the village committee of Ou's former village, and through the village committee chairman inquired from many sources, he learned that Ou's current location was a village in Zhangxi She. The next day, Tian Wei'en found the village cadre of Ou's village through the Zhangxi She's Township Judicial Office, and found Ou accompanied by the village cadre. After explaining his intentions to Ou, Tian Weien combined the method of reason and the way of empathy to let Ou understand his repayment responsibility, and Ou fulfilled the relevant payment on the spot and refunded the case acceptance fee paid in advance by Qiu. When the elderly Qiu received the notice to come to the court to collect the money, he was moved to say that he was old and weak, and many places needed money, and he did not expect that the court would help him recover the loan so quickly. After that, Qiu took the initiative to withdraw the indictment.

The judiciary keeps the original intention of the people, and fairness and justice undertake the mission. Under his leadership, in 2013 and 2017, the Lighthouse Court was awarded the collective third class merit and the collective second class merit; in 2021, the Lighthouse Court was awarded the "Most Beautiful People's Court" in Guangdong.
