Wang Deming is a native of Jiaozhou, Shandong Province, born in 1925. In 1947, at the age of 22, Wang Deming joined the People's Liberation Army and worked as an ordinary soldier in Huaye. After that, he followed the troops to participate in the Battle of Huaihai, the Battle of Crossing the River and the liberation of Shanghai, and made many meritorious contributions. In November 1950, the 26th Army received orders to prepare for operations in Korea, when the superiors considered Wang Deming's health and prepared to leave him in the rear. During the Liberation War, Wang Deming was injured more than a dozen times, so he fell into the root of a nervous headache.
But Wang Deming said that he did not want to stay in the rear, insisted on going to the front line, and said to the leader: "As long as I can go to the front line, let me do anything!" Eventually, his superiors agreed to his request and made him a stretcher in the 5th Company of the 227th Regiment of the 73rd Division. After the 26th Army entered Korea, it soon participated in the second battle, fighting a bloody battle with the US ace 1st Marine Division at Chosin Lake for more than a month. At the critical moment, Wang Deming was the first to jump off the cold and bone-chilling Hantan River, wading across the river, transporting ammunition and rushing the wounded back and forth. Over the course of four days, he launched 18 waters, transported 18 wounded and delivered 36 boxes of grenades.
This morning, Wang Deming delivered ammunition for the 19th time for the 152.2 heights. At this time, only 15 men remained in the entire 5 companies, and all the cadres were killed or wounded. Wang Deming immediately shouted, "Don't panic! Then Wang Deming began to arrange defensive tasks, he arranged a machine gun on the left and right sides of the position, he personally led 5 fighters to be responsible for defending the front, and the remaining few fighters made maneuvers, where the danger was reinforced.
Soon the enemy launched a new offensive, when the enemy entered the range, Wang Deming ordered the machine guns on the left and right sides to fire at the same time, driving the enemy to the middle, and when the enemy was gathered on the front, Wang Deming and the warriors began to throw grenades and grenades at the enemy group. Relying on this extremely effective method of warfare, he repelled two enemy attacks. In this battle, Wang Deming single-handedly annihilated 39 enemy soldiers, rongli special and other meritorious service, and was awarded the honorary title of first-class combat hero. After the 26th Army returned to China, the superiors were ready to transfer Wang Deming to the battalion headquarters for further training, but he refused the leader's kindness on the grounds that he was illiterate and had a headache, and returned to his hometown to become a farmer. In 2002, Wang Deming died of illness at the age of 77.
