Heavy elbows, inch palms, spread hands, circle hands, punch punches... Although he is more than a rare age, Lu Weide, the curator of the Jinan Wing Chun Boxing Association, still has a strong fist style. He studied under Ip Man, the eldest son of Wing Chun grandmaster Ip Man, and 10 years ago, spanning nearly 2,000 kilometers, came from Hong Kong to Jinan, Shandong Province, to inherit and promote Wing Chun.

Wing Chun is one of the southern schools of Chinese boxing, which was popular in Guangdong, Fujian and other places in the early years. For the historical flow of Wing Chun, there is a saying in the anecdote: "It began with Yan Wing Chun, derived from Ryazan, and flourished in Ip Man". In 2011, Wing Chun (Ip Man Zong Branch) was inscribed on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Guangdong Province.

Lok began learning boxing in the 1980s and worked for the Independent Commission Against Corruption in Hong Kong. After retirement, because his wife was not accustomed to life in Hong Kong, he decided to settle in jinan, Shandong, his wife's hometown. With the encouragement of his master Ye Zhun, Lu Weide opened a martial arts hall in Jinan in 2014 to promote the inheritance of Wing Chun.

Lu Weide said that wing chun is characterized by "fast, accurate and fierce", and the boxing pays attention to soft and rigid, small force to win the strong, fast, strong actual combat, and melee combat. Wing Chun can exert a lot of power in a very small range, "For example, there are 5 people in the elevator who want to attack me, and I can use my strength very well in this small space to knock them down." ”

The successive appearance of film and television works such as "Ip Man" and "A Generation of Grandmasters" has set off a boom in learning Wing Chun at home and abroad, and a large number of "Ip Man fans" have poured into Lu Weide's martial arts hall to learn art. At present, he has enrolled more than 200 students, the oldest is nearly 60 years old, the youngest is only 6 years old, and there are even many "foreign students" from overseas.

"I teach my students, without reservation, and pass on all the moves I have learned to them. Because if I pass on five points, the next generation may only have three points left, which is not conducive to passing on the essence of Wing Chun. "Treating students equally, Lu Weide teaches them equally, not only teaching them martial arts, but also paying attention to improving students' moral accomplishment. Because Wing Chun is more powerful, the moves are mostly the key parts of the person who hits people, and there are "merciless shots, and the shots will be merciless." " statement. Lu Weide said that he taught his disciples to talk about "martial virtue", and when encountering things, they should not only think of solving them by force, but also be reasonable.

After coming to Jinan, Lu Weide found that Wing Chun's audience in the mainland was not wide. He said that as a traditional Chinese martial art, Wing Chun is unique and should be broken down and spread to more places. As the movie "A Generation of Grandmasters" said: "Remember, there will be echoes, there will be lights, there will be people", Lu Weide hopes to be such a lamplighter.

As the fourth generation of Ip Man Wing Chun, Hong Kong native Chen Zilong has been working and living in various provinces and cities in the mainland for more than 10 years, and after being sent to Jinan to work in 2020, he met Lu Wei Tak.

"In the past, no matter where I went, I would take my wooden stakes with me, and when I came to help, I would go around looking for a martial arts gym for practicing Wing Chun. After meeting Master Lu, I said goodbye to the days of fighting alone with the wooden stakes. Chen Zilong told reporters that the black hand he practiced was the most unique training method in Wing Chun and the most basic fighting technique. He met and learned from the past, and became acquainted with Master Lu and trained together to make his martial arts more refined.

Affected by the epidemic, Chen Zilong could not return to Hong Kong for a long time to visit the elderly, nor could he return to Xiamen to reunite with his wife and children. After work, he would come to Lu Weide's martial arts hall to practice boxing, practice boxing with him, and dispel homesickness.

Near the end of the year, Chen Zilong said: "If I celebrate the New Year on the spot, I will definitely come to Master Lu's martial arts hall to ask him for Wing Chun and ask him to get together with a few friends, just like A sense of home." (End)
