Childhood was bumpy
Being born in the war-torn years can be described as being born at an inopportune time. At that time, many families ate the last meal and did not eat the next meal, and it was really not easy to support a child, and the same was true for the Bi Yun family.
Bi Yun was born in 1915 in The village of Shindokou in Weihai City, Shandong Province. His birth did not surprise his family, but became a burden. When he was a child, he was frail and sickly, and his family was too poor to open the pot, and he had no money to treat him, so his parents sent him to the Taoist Temple of Tianhou Temple.
The Dao Commander did not abandon this sudden swaddled baby, but took meticulous care of him. He also invited a local widow and widow to help raise her, the old lady had no children, so she treated Bi Yun as if she were her own child.
Bi Yun grew up slowly under the condition of being loved, and when he reached the age when he could read and learn words, the Dao Chief took Bi Yun back to the Taoist temple from the widowed old lady's house and taught him to read and learn words.
Bi Yun is also smart, and many things can be learned as soon as he learns them. In that turbulent era, it was always a good thing to have a skill to lean over, so the Dao Commander taught him martial arts moves, Bi Yun also learned a good look, and the Dao Commander directly praised him for his talent.
When Bi Yun was 20 years old, the Daoist chief returned to the Immortals for a hundred years and handed over the Taoist Temple to Bi Yun to take over. At this time, he had grown into a chivalrous monk, not only with a knowledgeable culture, but also with infinite strength, and would also fly over the wall.
Originally, Bi Yun thought that he would spend his life peacefully in the Taoist Temple, but he did not expect that in 1938, with the Japanese occupation of Shandong, his peaceful life was completely broken.
Japanese tightness
In 1938, Japanese warships docked in Weihai, Shandong Province, stirring up a wave across the country. Students, workers, etc. all came out to denounce it, and let the Japanese get out of China. However, these voices were too weak to stop Japan's invasion of China.
At that time, in Weihai, the Japanese wantonly arrested and massacred CCP members. One day, an injured Communist escaped into Bi Yun's Taoist temple, and Bi Yun, seeing that he was a revolutionary army, immediately hid him in the cellar of the Taoist temple.
Within a few moments, the Japanese soldiers chased after the Taoist Temple, and Bi Yun quickly ran out to see the situation. The leader of the Japanese soldiers asked him, "Have you seen an Eighth Route Army enter here?" Bi Yun was unusually calm at this time, staring at the leader and spitting out two words: "No."
The Japanese soldiers did not believe it, and let people search over and over in the Taoist temple, but found nothing. They suspected that Bi Yun had hidden the person, so they hung Bi Yun up. The officer at the head of the group whipped him with a tree strip, and the blood was immediately drenched, and Bi Yun endured the severe pain without saying a word.
While the Japanese army was fighting, they asked him to explain the whereabouts of the Eighth Route Army. But Bi Yun never admitted that he had seen the Eighth Route Army. They fought for a while, and they couldn't see that they really couldn't say anything, so they let Bi Yun go, and at this time he was scarred, but he couldn't take care of these things.
He immediately rushed into the cellar, asked the Eighth Route Army to change into the clothes of a Taoist priest, and sent him out of the city overnight to return him to the troops. After this incident, Bi Yun hated the Japanese even more, and he vowed to find an opportunity to take revenge.
Kill the Japanese
In order to find an opportunity to take revenge, Bi Yun went to the vicinity of the Japanese military camp every day to see the opportunity to take revenge. One night, the opportunity finally came.
One night, he saw two Japanese soldiers coming out of the barracks, and he followed them all the way to the large stone shed on the south side of Weihai. The two little devils had come here to have fun, and Bi Yun knew that this opportunity could not be lost.
He followed the devils to a sparsely populated place, and then rushed up as fast as he could, punching one of the devils in the body, and the devil's ribs were immediately broken in two knots, lying on the ground and screaming.
Because the speed was too fast, the other devil had not yet reacted, and Bi Yun's dagger had already been inserted into his body. In this way, Bi Yun successfully killed two Japanese soldiers. Then he cut off the heads of the two men and threw them into the wasteland outside the city, and asked the wolves and dogs to take the head away.
After Bi Yun returned to the Taoist Temple, he continued to plan his next move, this time targeting the Japanese soldiers who tortured him that day.
One afternoon, the Japanese commander led two Japanese soldiers to a village near Weihai to conduct a sweep. So Bi Yun decided to ambush them on the road and wait for an opportunity to booby trap them one by one.
He first secretly eliminated the Wu Commander who was walking behind, and dragged the corpse of the Wu Commander to a place. Because of this, there was a little movement, which was detected by the two Japanese soldiers walking in front, so they drew their swords and rushed towards Bi Yun.
Fortunately, Bi Yun was a practicing family, quickly dodged the attack, swept his legs and knocked him to the ground, and then punched him in the chest, and the Japanese soldier spat out a mouthful of blood. Another Japanese soldier rushed over to fight with Bi Yun, and finally he was firmly pressed under him and could not move.
Then Bi Yunyi forcefully inserted his finger into the throat of the Japanese soldier and pulled out the throat tube. Killing five Japanese soldiers at once, Bi Yun fled the city of Weihai.
By chance, he met the Eighth Route Army that he had saved at the Taoist Temple. At his recommendation, Bi Yun officially joined the Communist Party of China in 1942 and was incorporated into the Weihai City Special Forces.
Later, in a fierce battle with the Japanese army, he and 20 comrades were surrounded by enemy troops, unfortunately killed, and died at the age of 28. His deeds spread to his hometown of Weihai City, becoming a beautiful talk after everyone's tea and dinner, and many people wanted to meet this heroic little Taoist.
It wasn't until after the founding of New China that an old man from Liu Mingyu found a photograph from his home, and the family of one of his apprentices asked a photographer to take a picture. It is also the only image of Bi Yun that has survived in the world, and people can also see the true face of the hero.
Although Bi Yun's life is only 28 years short, he has a legendary life. From childhood to hardships, when he grew up, he was full of patriotic enthusiasm, and he was ruthless and fearless in the face of the enemy. His spirit has always inspired the local revolutionaries.
In the history of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, there are really countless unsung heroes, and it is rare for Xiang Biyun to leave names and images like this. But whether famous or unknown, they all paid their blood for the victory of the war and deserve to be remembered by all.
