The "RussiaGate" has made waves again, and Trump has demanded the revocation of the Pulitzer Prize of the New York Times and the Washington Post

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is still staring at The New York Times and The Washington Post.

According to the news of "Russia Today" (RT) on the 3rd, Trump asked the Pulitzer Prize Selection Committee to revoke the Pulitzer Prize awarded to the New York Times and the Washington Post in 2018. The two media outlets won the Domestic News Reporting Award in 2018 for their coverage of the so-called "Russia's involvement in the 2016 Presidential Election in the United States."

In a statement on the 3rd, Trump said that the above-mentioned media reports about "Russia's involvement in the 2016 US presidential election" and collusion with the Trump team were "wrong narratives", and the relevant investigation ultimately found no actual evidence.

Trump has also criticized the media for using sources in their reports that do not have a clear understanding of the situation, such as quoting vaguely defined people such as "people with knowledge of the situation," "current and former officials," and "some senior U.S. officials."

The Pulitzer Prize was established in 1917 by the will of the American newspaper magnate Joseph Pulitzer and is awarded annually, divided into two categories: journalism awards and art awards, and the results are generally announced in April each year. The Pulitzer Prize for Journalism is the highest honor in American journalism. On April 16, 2018, the Pulitzer Prize in the United States was announced. The "Russiagate" incident was also one of the highlights of that year's Pulitzer Prize, because of the in-depth disclosure of Russia's interference in the 2016 US election, as well as possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, transition team and government team, the Washington Post and the New York Times jointly won the Pulitzer Prize for Domestic News Reporting. The jury spoke highly of the "tireless in-depth investigation" conducted by the winning media in the public interest.
