1. Secretary approved by Xu Shiyou

The Guangzhou Military Region noted this, and in order to reduce the workload of General Xu Shiyou, after careful consideration, decided to arrange a secretary for him.
When General Xu Shiyou learned of this decision, he made three requests to the military region for the selection of secretaries.
First of all, it is necessary to be young and educated, and it is best to have some writing skills and work experience in organs; second, to have a good character and be loyal and honest in dealing with the world; and finally, on the basis of meeting the first two conditions, if you can, it is best to be a Shandong person.
The first two points can be understood, but why is the last point?
It turned out that General Xu Shiyou had fought in Shandong for a long time during the revolutionary period, spent many years with the people of Shandong, and had a deep affection for Shandong. General Xu Shiyou recognized the people of Shandong from his bones, which is why he made such a request.
After receiving three requests from General Xu Shiyou, the leaders of the Guangzhou Military Region immediately selected more than 300 candidates who met the first two conditions within the scope of the military region. In order not to delay the work of General Xu Shiyou, the leaders of the military region once again carried out strict screening, and finally only more than 30 people were left.
Among these more than 30 people, Sun Hongxian is the most qualified, not only young and educated, but also a Shandong native.
Therefore, when the leaders of the military region reported to Xu Shiyou, they put Sun Hongxian in the first place.
