On January 14, the 2022 Crossfire Professional League CFPL S19 was officially launched at the Jiangsu Taicang VSPN E-sports Center.
Ten teams will compete for the new season between January 14 and April 16, and the changes brought about by the addition of guns and map rules this season will gradually show the changes brought about by the ecology of the CFPL as they enter the tenth year.

In December 2021, CFPL duo AG and White Shark successfully met at the 2021 CFS World Finals held in Incheon, South Korea, and finally AG helped CFPL successfully defend the world championship, helped China CF consolidate the newly rebuilt dynasty in the world arena, and was also a gift for the 10th anniversary of CFPL.
For the new season, CFPL has previewed the new esports brand by refreshing the main visual map. The "Ride the Wind and Waves" cup, which represents the highest honor in the CFPL, is like a crosshair, surrounded by a six-pointed star icon symbolizing the honor of the game. With the prism printed with ten participating teams flying around, it symbolizes the determination of the new season's CFPL to boldly change and break the past.
The regular season stage of this league still adopts a double round robin BO3 format, overtime adopts the annihilation mode rule, and 1-4 regular season points enter the playoff winner group, 5-8 enters the loser group, the playoffs adopt a double-loss system, and the finals will be held on April 16.
The 14th opener was played by S18's new R.LGD team against KZ team, who had already lost the championship twice.
In the first game, the KZ team reversed the R.LGD team to get the first victory of the CFPL S19 under unfavorable circumstances, which was also the 100th victory of the KZ team in the CFPL Pro League. In the second round of submarine-CFS, the R.LGD team seized on the weakness of the KZ team's slow heat to win back a round. In the decider New Desert TD, both teams took a more conservative tactical lead after the start of the game, and the KZ team took a sharp lead until the last minute. In the end, the KZ team won the new season of the CFPL with a 2-1 revenge R.LGD team.
New rules add arena variables
The new season is facing a bigger test for each team
The biggest highlight of this season is that there have been many adjustments to the rules of the game, and there have been many changes in guns and maps.
In terms of gun rules, this season's gun pool has added Legendary weapons and Alien weapons, legendary M4, Legend Barrett, and C.A.T (M4A1 Alien Edition) Golden Trumpet (AK47 Alien Edition) can be used in the game.
The new season as a whole maintained the rule of "up to 2 people using the same type of gun at the same time", but added the blind BAN rule for firearms and subdivided several major categories of firearms, thus extending the pre-game BP link that required more careful selection.
The gun blind BAN rule is that before the start of each map of the regular season BO3, both coaches need to blindly BAN opponents a type of gun, and each team can only be BAN once for a single type of gun in BO3 and BAN twice in BO5.
For example, the sniper firearms in the previous format were split into finer ones, such as "M200 class", "Barrett class", "98K class", etc., and the previous "other firearms" were also refined into "QBZ03 class", "9A91 class", etc., which means that "2 QBZ03 + 2 9A91" can appear at the same time on the field.
In the competition, the player can only use Backpack 1 (full load) and Backpack 2 (firearm with the -CFS suffix), it is worth noting that Backpack 1 follows the rules of gun diversification and blind BAN, while Backpack 2 is unrestricted, which also means that "2 AK47-Fire Kirin + AK47-CFS" can appear on the field at the same time, if the AK Full Range weapon is blinded in a map, the player can use the AK47-CFS firearm.
In addition to the gun rules, the rules of the map have also changed this season.
First of all, the game map pool added an Eagle Eye map to the seven maps of CFPL S18, the original single-select side rule remained unchanged, the BP rule was changed to a map in BO3 after the home and guest teams each ban a map, and then selected a map in turn (Figure 1 and Figure 2), and the third map was randomly selected from all maps except Figures 1 and Figure 2 (including the two MAPS that were BAN). In BO5, the BP rules follow the order of the main BAN, guest selection, main selection, guest BAN, main BAN, guest selection, and main selection, none of the eight maps are left, and the first image of the home team is selected.
The CFPL League is constantly improving the confrontationality of domestic cross-fire events through the innovative way of competition rules, broadening the competitive dimension, putting forward higher requirements for the depth of the team's gun pool and map pool, improving the viewing of the event, and continuing to deepen the internal strength of the Chinese CF team.
