According to reports, the new C189 connector is a low-end version of the C89, supporting 12W power. The new C89 uses the same material and layout as the C94 connector on the USB-C to Lightning cable, possibly due to unifying materials and reducing supply chain pressure. The charging head network pointed out that the terminals of C189 are expected to be upgraded from the traditional gold plating process to the ruthenium rhodium plating layer used in the C94 terminals, which completely solves the problem that the gold-plated terminals are easy to blacken and oxidize and cannot be charged.
IT Home learned that Apple's new iPhone has adopted a USB-C to Lightning cable, but accessories such as mouse and keyboard are still equipped with USB-A to Lightning cables. In terms of price, apple's official website of "lightning to USB cable (1 meter)" is priced at 145 yuan.
