I watched "Hal's Moving Castle" again today, and this is the second time I have watched it, and it feels very different from the first time I watched it. It is one of Hayao Miyazaki's ten anime and one that I love a lot. It is adapted from the British novelist's fairy tale "Hall's Moving Castle". Hal's Moving Castle – You're the one I'm willing to die to protect.

The movie is probably about the love story of mutual salvation between an old woman who has been cast a spell and a teenager who has lost his heart. The old woman's name is Sophie, and the teenager's name is Hal. Whenever Sophie regains her confidence, her bravery, and her colorful dreams when she is asleep, she becomes a girl.
The plot of this work is very jumpy, the metaphor is overwhelming, and it is different from Miyazaki's popular narrative style in the past.
Set in late 19th-century Europe, the protagonist Sophie lives in a small town with her stepmother and sister. Compared with her fashionable sister, Sophie does not have the liveliness and vitality of a girl of the same age. Dressed in an ordinary hairstyle, wearing an old-fashioned skirt and carrying the most ordinary hat, her heart was like an old lady, hiding in the sewing room all day to make hats.
On this day the Wilderness Witch came to Sophie's hat shop and she cast a spell on Sophie, turning her into a 90-year-old woman. In fact, the spell did not change Sophie's body, let alone her heart. This 90-year-old face is a true portrayal of Sophie's own heart, so when she sees herself in the mirror, she is not frightened, but quickly accepts this reality. Even talking and walking became like a real old lady. Unable to reveal the contents of the spell to others, Sophie chose to run away from home. By chance, she moved into Hal's mobile castle and became a cleaner for the castle. Lives with Hal, Hal's apprentice, and the fire demon Cassifah.
When she came to the new environment, she quickly threw herself into a new life, and the originally dull person suddenly had a curiosity. With some small goals and small pursuits. It is precisely because of these goals and pursuits that Sophie's appearance more often looks like she is only fifty or sixty years old, and when the night is quiet, Sophie, who forgets that she has become an old woman, will return to the appearance of a 19-year-old girl.
At this time, the outside world is in the midst of war, and Hal fights every day. Hal is heroic on the one hand, fighting the war with his own strength, and on the other hand, he is timid like a rat, hiding from the wilderness witches.
Possessing powerful magic but not wanting to serve his country, he receives a call but is afraid to see Mr. Sulliman. So she pleaded with Sophie to pretend to be her mother and refused, and Sophie set off. On this journey, Sophie also learned to be brave, and when confronted by Teacher Shaliman, she bravely refused, she knew Hal, knew that he did not want to get involved in the war. She defended Hal word for word, and at that moment Sophie gradually regained her maiden appearance.
Teacher Shaliman broke the fact that Sophie liked Hal, and Sophie became a 90-year-old lady in an instant, her careful thinking was discovered, and all the inferiority made her heart old.
When war breaks out, Sophie drives the castle to follow Hal's footsteps, and on the way, the Wilderness Witch discovers that Khasifa has Hal's heart hidden inside. Unable to suppress the desire in his heart, Casifah holds it tightly in his hand (the Wilderness Witch has always wanted Hal's heart), and the castle begins to storm.
Sophie falls into a cliff and cries at the bottom of the cliff, triggering the magic of the ring to see Hal's infancy.
On a summer night, countless meteors fell from the sky, and one fell on Hal's hand, and Hal sacrificed his heart to obtain the magical energy of the meteor, and the two made a pact. Sophie returns from the castle gate with the truth to see a badly wounded Hal, who uses the last bit of sobriety and strength to lead Sophie to Find Cassifah. Sophie breaks Hal's pact with Casifah and helps Hal retrieve his heart.
When Sophie was in danger, the Scarecrow was seriously injured by blocking the plank that was about to fall into the cliff. Sophie thanked him for his efforts and gave him a gentle kiss. Unexpectedly, the spell was unlocked, and it turned out that he was a prince from a neighboring country and promised to stop the war when he returned home.
The war was over, everyone found their own home, and the last castle that flew up symbolized the liberation of their freedom.
There is a small detail in the movie, the ring is broken, and Sophie tells Hal to wait for her in the future when she falls, which is a response to what Hal said when he first saw Sophie at the beginning: Finally find you! This is the key to the establishment of the whole film, this thing has changed the past, it can be said that the whole film is strung together into a ring. In fact, Hal had been waiting for her.
Among them, when Sophie is brave and confident, she will change back to the appearance of a girl, and when she is inferior, she will change back to the appearance of an old woman, which also shows that we must be brave and confident, and our mentality is the most important. If the mentality is old, the appearance is not beautiful no matter how young it is.
Sophie also bravely faced her heart and expressed her love for Hal.
