At the funeral of Li Ziming, a bagua palm heir, why did a Japanese person fall drunk in front of the spirit and chant two words

When Li Ziming, the heir to the Bagua, died at the age of 91, a Japanese named Sato Kanebei fell drunk at Li Ziming's funeral, and two words were always spoken in his mouth. So, who is this man named Sato Kanebei, and why did he behave like this?

(Li Ziming)

Born in 1902, Li Ziming is a native of Li Tao Village, Ji County, Hebei Province. According to the county chronicle, Li Ziming "came from a family and came from a wealthy family", so he lived a good life from an early age and has always lived a pampered life.

Hebei JiXian is a big county of martial arts, where martial arts have always been advocated in history, and the style of learning martial arts is very strong. Not to mention adults, even the elderly and children can dance guns and sticks, quite fierce.

However, Li Ziming's family is a family of scholars, and their ancestors often regard reading as the right way. In addition, at that time, people with status disdained to learn martial arts, believing that most of the martial artists were people from low births, so even if they lived in a big martial arts county, the Li family was bound by family style for several generations, and few people have been practicing martial arts.

For example, Li Ziming's father, Li Jinyin, although he did not take the meritorious name, but he played chess, calligraphy and painting, quite talented, so he also had high hopes for his son, when he was 4 years old, he sent him to a private school to study, in order to let him enlighten as soon as possible, study hard, in case of future success, glory lintel.

However, Li Ziming, as a prince of the family, was probably too carefully cared for, so his physique was weak from an early age. I have asked many Chinese medicine practitioners to adjust him, but they have little effect. In desperation, Li Jinyin let Li Ziming learn boxing sticks with his uncle Li Jinqing in addition to studying, in order to strengthen his body.

At that time, under the influence of Western studies, the imperial court cancelled the imperial examination. Soon after, due to the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution, the Qing government, which could only conform to the trend of history, had to announce its abdication.

In this way, Li Ziming continued to read hard and lost his value. When he was 16 years old, Li Jinyin asked him to go to his grandfather's Yongsheng Yukin Shop as an apprentice, hoping that he would learn some business methods and make a living by doing business in the future.

Unexpectedly, when Li Ziming was 21 years old, because of the long-term cure for his illness, he had to resign as an apprentice and return to his hometown to worship Liang Zhenpu as a teacher and continue to learn martial arts.

(Liang Zhenpu)

Liang Zhenpu is a native of The Village of Haojiazuka in Northern Ji County, and his martial arts practice experience is somewhat similar to Li Ziming's. It is said that in his early years, under the guidance of Mr. Qin Fengyi, Liang Zhenpu learned to play legs, tong zi gong, etc., and the foundation of martial arts was very solid. When he was 13 years old, he also bid farewell to his hometown and went to Beijing with his father to help take care of the business of the yizhuang.

Unexpectedly, when he was 16 years old, Liang Zhenpu suffered from an incurable disease. Since it was said that practicing martial arts could not only strengthen his body, but also relieve pain from illness, he studied martial arts under Dong Haichuan, the founder of bagua palms. As a result, not only did he learn the true tradition and become a generation of martial arts masters, but the disease that had not healed for many years was gradually eliminated in the process of practicing.

Liang Zhenpu's miraculous experience made the long-ill Li Ziming full of confidence, so he worshiped him as a teacher and learned Bagua palm.

Li Ziming is intelligent and studious, and his understanding is very high, plus when Liang Zhenpu passed on the art, he was also extremely serious, not only telling Li Ziming all the experience he had learned, but also breaking every move and practicing it to him little by little. After practicing like this for more than a year, his body really recovered day by day, which made Li Ziming very happy and practiced harder and harder.

In 1928, after the completion of the Hebei GuoshuGuan, at the invitation of Xu Lanzhou, Liang Zhenpu went to the Hebei Guoshuguan to become a martial artist who taught Bagua Palm. As his most important disciple, Li Ziming naturally followed and continued to practice martial arts there.

At that time, there were many masters in the Hebei Guoshu Hall, including Li Shuwen, the sharpshooter, Shang Yunxiang, a half-step collapse fist, and Ju Qingyuan, who was a famous master of Bagua. Because of this, many martial arts enthusiasts have come to learn it in an unprecedented way.

Because Li Ziming is a rare talent for learning martial arts, he is deeply loved by his teachers when he is learning art, which makes him very beneficial in martial arts.

After that, Li Ziming met in Beijing as a martial arts friend and befriended martial arts masters such as Guo Gumin and Li Shao'an. Because of their like-mindedness, they often practice martial arts and discuss boxing together, and this beneficial martial arts exchange has given Li Ziming a great understanding of other martial arts. Therefore, he learned from the strengths of all, used his strengths and avoided his weaknesses, and improved and perfected the techniques he learned. (Republic of China martial arts master moves)

In addition to visiting martial arts friends everywhere, Li Ziming in his youth can also write and paint well, and is a first-class popular figure in the martial arts world. With rich family assets, he traveled everywhere, like Liaoning, Tianjin, Hebei and other places have left his figure. Later, he made many martial arts friends in Beijing, and in order to facilitate the practice of martial arts, he settled down in Beijing.

In addition to practicing martial arts, Li Ziming was also a patriot who experienced two periods: the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation. Later, due to the urgency of the situation, he was appointed to work as an underground party and opened the Hongye Soy Sauce Factory and the Yuanlong Trading House in Beijing. On the surface he was a businessman, but secretly he was not only the working point of the underground party joint, but he was also one of the main contacts of the underground work. He made a great contribution to the liberation of the whole country, and used his identity to donate generously on many occasions to rescue comrades in danger and to protect them well.

The most rare thing is that when he was engaged in intense underground party work, Li Ziming still insisted on practicing gong and never interrupted his study of martial arts. It was also during that period that he wrote theoretical books such as "Dong Haichuan Bagua Palm", "Liang's Bagua Palm", and "How bagua palm makes people healthy", leaving a valuable martial arts wealth for future generations.

After liberation, Li Ziming, because of his great management experience, successively served as the director of the state-owned ice factory and the food processing factory, and worked very well. However, Li Ziming, who has been a martial artist all his life, still organizes and promotes the cause of martial arts in his spare time, and recruits disciples and teaches Bagua palms.

Speaking of Professor Li Ziming's disciple, I have to mention a man named Sato Kanebei.

Sato Kanebei is Japanese, and when he was young, he had the privilege of coming to China and learned and loved Chinese martial arts. After the liberation of China, Li Ziming visited Japan on behalf of the Chinese Wushu Association. After hearing about Li Ziming's deeds, he admired Li Ziming and wanted to learn martial arts under him. Unfortunately, due to various reasons, it has not been realized. It was not until the end of the 1970s that he took the opportunity of traveling to Beijing to meet Li Ziming and get what he wanted and worship him as a teacher.

In fact, the political environment at that time was still relatively tense, and Sato Kanebei did not speak Chinese, so after learning that he wanted to see Li Ziming, the relevant departments also arranged a room in a hotel in Beijing for the two to meet there. In the process of meeting, the communication between the two mainly relied on translation.

At this time, Sato Jinbei was more than fifty years old, and Li Ziming heard that Sato Jinbei admired Chinese martial arts and was eager to watch Li Ziming perform a piece of Bagua palm, Li Ziming did not shirk, and showed a bagua palm on the spot.

At this time, although Li Ziming was 77 years old, he was agile and fierce in kung fu, not only a period of Bagua palm training to become magical, but then he was also lightning- and easily knocked down more than 20 students brought by Sato Kanebei with one hand. Sato Kanebei was eye-opening, and he was impressed at the time, and insisted on worshiping Li Ziming as a teacher and realizing his dream of learning Chinese kung fu.

In the following decades, Sato Kanebei stayed in Beijing many times to learn Bagua palm with Li Ziming. (Tomb of Sato Kanebei)

Despite his advanced age, Li Ziming let his proud disciple teach martial arts on his behalf, and he gave more guidance from the side, which made Sato Kanebei's martial arts progress very quickly. After returning to Japan, Sato Kanebei also devoted himself to promoting Chinese kung fu, so that Chinese kung fu could continue to develop in Japan.

Li Ziming's respect for his teacher is also admirable. In 1980, Li Ziming learned that the tomb of The Master Dong Haichuan had been damaged during the Cultural Revolution, and because Dong Haichuan had no descendants, Dong Haichuan's tomb had not been repaired. And after the division of the land to the household, his tomb will also be turned into arable land because it is unclaimed. When Li Ziming learned of this, he was greatly distressed, so he raised funds to relocate the tomb, moved Dong Haichuan's tomb to the Wan'an Cemetery in the western suburbs of Beijing, and rebuilt the inscription.

In 1986, Li Ziming also moved the tomb of the second generation of Liang Zhenpu to the Wan'an Cemetery for the posterity of the Bagua palm to pay tribute to.

Li Ziming's achievements and achievements in martial arts, whether it is to his ancestors, have made the martial arts community admire him. The state also awarded him the "Wushu Contribution Award" for his many contributions to the cause of martial arts. The Chinese martial arts circles also admired Li Ziming's martial arts and specially made a plaque with the words "High Moral Respect" written on it and awarded it to him.

In 1993, Li Ziming died of illness at the age of 91. When the bad news came out, Li Ziming's disciples and grandchildren came to the funeral, and even Sato Kanebei flew to see the master for the last time.

Because he was so sad, he had drunk a lot of wine before he came, and as a result, he was drunk in the spirit hall, just facing the statue of Li Ziming, wiping away tears while saying in Chinese: "It's uncomfortable!" It's uncomfortable..."

When others saw it, they all mourned.

A few years later, Sato Kanebei died in Japan. Before his death, he told his children that he was very sorry that he could not accompany Master much when he was alive, so he hoped to be buried by Master's side after death, so that he could accompany him for a long time.

Therefore, after the death of Sato Kanebei, his children buried him in Beijing's Wan'an Cemetery, next to Li Ziming's tomb.

To this day, the mentor-apprentice friendship between Li Ziming and Sato Kanebei is still enjoyed by the martial arts, and everyone is very proud of the charm of Chinese martial arts while being touched by this cross-border master-apprentice relationship.
