The Red 23rd Column Arsenal is located in the Kanggong Temple in Yangtian Lake at the head of the dam, and was listed as a cultural relics protection unit in Anyuan County in 1983.

On January 27, 1928, Xie Yushan, Du Longkui, Lai Shixiu and others led the Red Twenty-third Column to Cai Mukeng in Gaoyunshan Township, and held a meeting at Cai Mukeng that night to study the attack on Tuling the next day. On the morning of the 28th, after Xie Yushan and others led more than 50 people to Tuling, a burst of gunfire crushed the local landlords' armed forces, and immediately established a red regime. After lunch, the Red Twenty-third Column received information that the defense of the Wusanbiao pseudo-arsenal was not strict. After studying, Xie Yushan and others decided to lead the whole team to March to Sanbiao and attack the Sanbiao Pseudo Arsenal.

Sanbiao Pseudo Arsenal, which belongs to the Sanbiao puppet government and is located in the eight houses under The Sanbiao Wei Street in Xunwu, is a small arsenal with more than 10 workers who can produce home-made five-shot guns and spears and knives. When Xie Yushan led his troops to approach Hachiya, in order to solve the battle as soon as possible, he divided the men and horses into several roads and surrounded the entire arsenal. There was only one worker in the arsenal, and the rest of the workers went home for the New Year. Thus, the Twenty-third Column effortlessly seized a set of gun-making equipment, as well as some guns and ammunition and some semi-finished products.

After the 23rd Column moved the captured guns, ammunition, and ordnance equipment back to Yangtian Lake, it invited 4 or 5 masters to make guns and ammunition. Since then, the revolutionary armed forces in Anyuan have had their own arsenal, which was called the "Damtou Arsenal" at that time.

The Red Twenty-third Column Arsenal made a special contribution in a specific era, and the guns and ammunition produced by the arsenal further armed the militia and guerrillas in the base areas, making an immortal contribution to enhancing the combat effectiveness of the revolutionary armed forces.
