Heavy snow presses the pine, the pine is straight and straight; know that the pine is clean and clean, and wait until the snow melts. Chen Yi's poem entitled "Green Pine" is an enthusiastic praise for the noble qualities of communists with high heads in hardships and hardships. The martyr Dumunan is such a majestic green pine.
Du Munan was born in 1913 to a poor peasant family in Xiutian Village, Lianjiang Township, Anyuan County. He threw himself into the revolution in 1927 and successively served as secretary of the district party committee, director of the propaganda department of the county party committee, secretary of the county party committee, and member of the military and political committee of the Guangdong-Gansu Border Region.
After the main force of the Central Red Army moved north, according to the instructions of the Military and Political Committee of the Guangdong-Gansu Border, in May 1935, Du Munan was ordered to lead the Red Advance Team back to the southern part of Anyuan and the border with Xunwu to persist in guerrilla warfare. At that time, the Kuomintang reactionaries imposed a severe economic blockade on the guerrilla areas and uninterrupted "clearing the countryside" and "searching and suppressing." The advancing team lacked food and clothing, and the situation was very dangerous. However, with the support of the masses, they still persisted in the struggle, frequently attacked, often moved around to strike at the enemy, dug roads, cut power lines, burned bridges, and stabbed the enemy's heart like a sharp knife, which not only posed a great threat and deterrence to the enemy, but also greatly encouraged the confidence and fighting spirit of the masses in the base areas. The Kuomintang reactionaries were very annoyed and threatened: "Whoever can catch Du Munan will ask for money and officials." "Although the reactionaries offered a reward for wanted and searched everywhere, they pounced on the air again and again. Seeing that the hard method did not work, they again adopted the method of abduction, and wrote a letter to persuade Du Mu to go south to the mountain, promising that as long as he washed his hands and did not dry, they could give it to an official of the deputy county magistrate to do it for him. But all this was strictly rejected by Du Munan.
In the winter of 1935, the situation of the struggle became more and more severe, and the Kuomintang army's "liquidation and suppression" of the guerrillas became even more brutal. Militarily, they have hollowed out their minds to adopt the three-light policy of cutting down trees and searching mountains, and implementing the three-light policy of "burning down houses, killing people, and robbing things of light." Politically, they used the method of "emigrating to the villages, ten households with a joint guarantee system" and "one family with bandits, ten households sitting together, one bandit with ten families, and ten families with the same disaster" to merge small villages into large villages, ten households to form a joint guarantee, designating their cronies to be responsible, and the masses going out to work, not only to take leave, but also to return home regularly; otherwise, the light ones will be beaten and scolded, and the heavy ones will be imprisoned and killed, in a vain attempt to cut off the guerrillas' ties with the masses, in an attempt to trap the advance team and starve them to death on the mountain.
In order to break through the enemy's economic blockade, Du munan convened a meeting of the heads of the county party committee, the county Soviet government, and the advance team to analyze the situation of the struggle between the enemy and ourselves, and decided to divide the advance team into three squads to disperse its activities. The comrades of the advancing brigade often went out day and night, actively searching for the border, sometimes ambushing the enemy, sometimes catching local tycoons and gentry and fines, sometimes escorting grain, cloth, salt and daily necessities up the mountain, and the revolutionary struggle was very active.
The enemy was poorly skilled, and the Kuomintang troops, the Jingwei Regiment, the Shoveling Communist Regiment, and the Security Brigade were even more frantically "clearing and suppressing" the guerrillas, sometimes sending troops to search the mountains and sometimes setting fire to the mountains. In the harsh environment, starvation, frostbite, rain, disease, etc., all came to the members of the advancing team. In this harsh struggle, some unsteady elements were shaken and became shameful traitors. One night in early February 1936, Du Munan led the advance team to camp near the Zhangxi River at the junction of Gangfeng Mountain and Sanbai Mountain in Anyuan Town. As soon as the sky showed the white of the fish's belly, Du Mu Nan got up to check the whistle, found that there was a noise on the edge of the woods, and immediately became alert. At this time, Zhang Binghuang, a traitor and leader of a small group of the original advance team, led the enemy to avoid the guerrilla sentries and surrounded the advance team. Dumunan shot at the enemy while directing his men to break through. During the fierce battle, Du Munan was shot in the shoulder and bled unceasingly. The guards hurried to bandage him. Du Munan resolutely ordered loudly: "You go quickly, I will cover." Immediately, he crawled into the small bushes and continued to fight tenaciously with the enemy, covering the transfer of troops.
At this time, a large number of enemies pounced like wolves, and Du Munan was unfortunately arrested. Lai Liangdong, head of the anti-communist Jingwei regiment, personally came to interrogate him, and said without smiling: "Secretary Du, as long as you promise to work with us, you can ask for money from officials." Du munan replied, "Unfortunately, you don't have what I want." "What do you want?" Lai Liangdong couldn't wait to ask. "I want a revolution, do you promise?" Lai Liangdong could not continue to interrogate, so he said to the traitor Zhang Binghuang, "You go and persuade him." Zhang Binghuang said to him with a thick face: "Old Du, as of now, it is better for a good man not to eat the loss in front of him, otherwise he will kill his head." Du Mu Nan shouted angrily, "Shameless traitor, roll me!" Dumunan spent more than three months in prison and was tortured.
One day, Du Munan, handcuffed and shackled, came to the interrogation room again. An enemy officer asked, "Dumunan, where are you from?" Why join the revolution? Du Munan replied without changing his color: "Don't you know where I am?" I am an Anyuan Lianjiang Xiutian native, and I joined the Communist Party of China in order to eliminate the Kuomintang reactionaries and overthrow the landlord exploiting class. The enemy officer jumped like a thunderbolt and shouted, "Do you write a letter of repentance?" Du Mu Nan said emphatically: "Don't write! "The enemy officers drank the order and tortured, and the thugs immediately tortured Du Munan with various tortures such as stepping on bars, filling pepper water, and soldering iron. Du Munan gritted his teeth, endured severe pain, and passed out several times. But the enemy's answer is still two words: do not write!
One day in May 1936, just after dawn, the enemy officer, with several heavily armed enemy soldiers, opened the prison door and shouted menacingly: "Du Mu Nan, come out!" At this time, Du Munan knew that he was going to be executed. He straightened his clothes with his hands, cut his hair, and walked with his head held high to the execution ground. At the execution ground, Du Munan shouted with all his might: "Long live the Chinese Communist Party!" "The enemy fired a bullet of evil. Dumunan heroically sacrificed his precious life for the revolution at the age of 23. He is like a green pine standing proudly on the top of a mountain, forever living in people's hearts.
