The history of science and technology in China is an extremely important part of the history of science and technology in the world, following the successful holding of the 2019 exhibition "From primitive society to the Eastern Han Dynasty" exhibition and the 2020 exhibition "From the Three Kingdoms and Two Jin Dynasties to the Song and Liao Jinyuan" exhibition, the third phase of the exhibition of major achievements in the history of Chinese science and technology, "The history of Chinese science and technology (Ming and Qing parts) Major Scientific and Technological Achievements Exhibition", will be opened on January 20 in the adjacent exhibition area of the lobby of Dongguan Science and Technology Museum.

The exhibition will exhibit scientific and technological achievements from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the late Opium War, divided by a timeline: "The middle and early Ming Dynasty - with the help of Yu Wei, such as the fire and the sun; the Ming and Qing Dynasties - breaking the tradition, learning from the West and the East; and the late Period of the Opium War - science to save the country and move towards modernity".

This exhibition aims to give visitors a comprehensive, intuitive and in-depth understanding of China's scientific and technological achievements in the Ming and Qing dynasties, so as to inspire patriotic enthusiasm, stimulate love for science and technology, and contribute to the early realization of great national rejuvenation.

Opening hours: Every Tuesday to Sunday 9:30-17:30 (Closed on Mondays, special circumstances will be announced separately)
