Mannight: Van der Beek was recommended to Dortmund and Newcastle, who could leave on loan in the winter window

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United midfielder Van der Beek has been recommended to Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, both of which may be on loan for the Dutch player in this winter window. The lack of playing time at Manchester United cost Van der Beek his place for the Dutch national team, which also left his future at the Red Devils in doubt.

Since moving from Ajax to Manchester United in September 2020 for £35 million, Van de Beek has only made four starters in the Premier League, and all this season, whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in charge or Ronnick, he has struggled to find game opportunities.

Everton were very close on loan before the summer transfer window closed, but he was left at Manchester United and promised a bigger role. But so far he has only started four games in all competitions, three of them in the Champions League and one of the League Cup losses to West Ham.

The lack of playing opportunities at Manchester United cost Van der Beek his place with the Oranges, and with the World Cup approaching, he may not be able to return to Van Gaal's plans. Van der Beek is therefore open to leaving the Red Devils this month, having already been recommended to Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle.
