In the winter window of 2017, Oscar transferred from Chelsea to Shanghai Harbour in the Chinese Super League for £50 million, becoming the world's fifth-highest-paid footballer.

Foreign media reported that Oscar's salary in Shanghai SIPG reached 563,000 pounds, equivalent to an annual salary of 28 million pounds, which Barcelona could not match.

However, that doesn't seem to stop Oscar's willingness to join Barca. Because Oscar intends to take a sharp pay cut to go to the Camp Nou.
