This question cannot be answered by science at this stage, because theoretically we cannot use the theory of the virtual world to prove that this world is virtual, which is a logical paradox. But this does not mean that we do not have any way to prove that our world is virtual, because theoretically, no matter what program, has its own limits, it is impossible to increase the amount of computation without limits. Especially in a short period of time, when the amount of computation suddenly surges, it often causes the collapse of the entire system. If we can dramatically increase our exploration of the universe in a very short period of time, it is possible to prove this problem.
Taking our world as an example, suppose our world is a program made by a super civilization. Then in primitive societies they only need to simulate the surface of the earth, whether it is the sun, the moon or other stars in the Milky Way, as long as a few bright spots can be confused by sticking a few bright spots; but when Galileo invented the telescope, the problem became complicated, they at least had to simulate the entire solar system, and the amount of computation directly increased by tens of millions of times; and when the Apollo moon landing, Voyager and hubble space telescope lifted off, the situation was more complicated, they not only had to simulate the entire solar system in detail , adding a strict physical system, but also to simulate the entire Milky Way and even the local galaxy group, supergalactic group, the amount of computation directly soared trillions of times. Today, with the launch of the James Webb telescope, this civilization is afraid to usher in a comprehensive upgrade of software, hardware, and algorithms. Will it crash in the end? This may be an interesting experiment for humans that is not mainstream.
James Webb Telescope
The James Webb Telescope is currently the most advanced space telescope for mankind, and it is mainly different from its predecessor Hubble Telescope in two main ways: First, James Webb looks larger, and it is not in the earth's low-Earth orbit or orbit around the earth. Instead, it is a complex orbit around Lagrange L2, 1.5 million kilometers away from the Earth, and more importantly, it also has a blackout board, which avoids the effects of solar radiation and intense glow, and improves the performance of observation.
Second, the Hubble telescope mainly carries out observation work in the visible and ultraviolet wavelengths, while the observation range of the James Webb telescope is mainly concentrated in the infrared band. The latter carries four state-of-the-art scientific instruments, equipped with high-resolution, highly sensitive infrared detectors that study infrared light from celestial bodies more clearly. According to scientists' estimates, James Webb is more than 100 times more comprehensive than his predecessor Hubble telescope, which can explore the first glimmer of light from the Big Bang. In other words, if the James Webb telescope officially began working, the Creator would be thinking about simulating the entire universe. Can hardware and computing power be upgraded? Can the algorithm of the program still be optimized? There is even no need to simulate this virtual universe ... These issues should be considered. Because human science and technology progress is too fast, and every small step forward in the pace of human exploration, they have to improve the accuracy of simulation by tens or hundreds of times, thousands, tens of thousands, and even trillions of times, which is a completely unfair competition.
