The Pursuit of Happiness "When Happiness Knocks"

When your life is frustrated, frustrated, helpless, and unsustainable, watch When Happiness Knocks and you'll get the strength you want.

"When Happiness Knocks" is based on the autobiography of the same name published by chris Garner, a well-known black investment expert in the United States. This is a typical American inspirational story. As a single father, Ghana once faced a dilemma that could not even solve his own food and clothing. During the most difficult times, Ghana had to carry what little he had on his back, carry a diaper in one hand and a stroller in the other, and travel with his son to a homeless shelter. When there was really nowhere to stay, the father and son could only spend the night in places such as parks and subway bathrooms.

In order to support his son, he was poor and homeless, starting from the lowest level of salesmen, and finally becoming a well-known financial investor in the United States. Recalling his own past, Chris Garner said: "In my twenties, I experienced all kinds of difficult, dark, and frightening moments that one could imagine, but I never gave up. There is also a deep meaning of this autobiography, that is, even in the most difficult moments, father and son are inseparable. ”

Gardner, in his 20s, doesn't read much, works as a medical supplies salesman, and takes care of his girlfriend and young children. In 1981, when he saw a man driving a red Ferrari looking for a parking space in a San Francisco parking lot, he recalled: "I said to him: 'You can use my parking space, but I want you to answer two questions: What do you do and how do you do it?'" The other party claimed to be a stockbroker with a monthly salary of $80,000, double Gardner's annual salary.

Gardner resigned and changed careers, successfully getting a job with a securities company, but before he could go to work, the person who asked him was fired, and the new job was lost. Before applying for a new job, he quarreled with his girlfriend and alarmed police officers to mediate, and Gardner was charged $1200 for a parking violation, and he was sentenced to 10 days in prison for not being able to pay back. But the nightmare was not over, and after he was released from prison, he found that his girlfriend and son had disappeared, and he had become nothing. A few months later, the girlfriend reappeared, but not because she wanted to fix the old, but because she didn't want to take her son with her. Gardner needs to raise children, can no longer live in a single dormitory, is forced to live on the streets ... Cheap hotels, parks, train station toilets, and office floors became the shelters of two fathers and sons, and it was only a year later that he had enough money to own his own nest.

Gardner worked hard to make money, and after becoming a stockbroker, his career was smooth. He became a millionaire by starting a brokerage firm in Chicago in 1987 and has recently worked to help the poor in South Africa. He published his autobiography, The Pursuit of Happyness.
