Recently, the Consumer Protection Commission of Anhui Province tested, statistically analyzed 1111 samples of express delivery orders and found that 674 samples contained two-dimensional code small advertisements, accounting for 60.67%.

Among them, the most advertised is a platform's "daily cash payment seconds to account" activity, accounting for 39.32%.

The truth found after the test

This kind of cash collection activity needs to constantly invite friends to help, get lottery opportunities, and then continuously accumulate, redeem and interlock through the extraction of gold coins, lucky points, etc., in order to achieve the purpose of making up the amount of cash withdrawal.

The survey found that after inviting nearly 20 friends to help, they still failed to withdraw cash, and no one else involved finally withdrew, but they all downloaded the APP and promoted the event for free.

A large carousel lottery called "Pick-up Welfare Society" accounted for 22.11%. Its promotional slogans include "Smoke Huawei mobile phone", "2 bottles of hand sanitizer to be drawn", "Don't throw it!" Scan the code to extract 5.87 yuan", "Extract the thermos cup×1", "draw 3 pairs of warm socks for free", "1 electric kettle to be extracted" and so on.

The investigators have never won any of the above advertising slogans during the testing process, and the so-called awards have a clear promotion purpose, and no award is really the "free" mentioned in the advertising text, many advertising sweeps are required to fill in detailed personal information before the lottery, and even the promotional content is "suspended" due to suspected fraud. The Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests stipulates that the information provided by business operators shall be true and comprehensive, and shall not be false or misleading publicity. False two-dimensional code advertisements are published on the express delivery face sheet, inducing consumers to scan the code, infringing on consumers' right to know and choose, and their behavior has been suspected of fraud; inducing consumers to fill in personal information infringes on consumers' right to personal information protection according to law, and the competent department may punish them.

Almost all courier companies believe that as long as the advertisement is not published by themselves, it is not responsible for it. In the consultation, some courier company customer service said that because these advertisements are not advertisements of courier companies, nor are they issued by courier companies, even if consumers encounter problems, courier companies cannot solve them.

At the same time, consumers are reminded that the "benefits" such as "free draw", "to be collected" and "1 yuan draw" in the express delivery bill advertisement cannot ensure authenticity and safety, and consumers should be cautious after seeing such advertisements and do not easily scan the code.
