2022 India Open: Seven players withdrew due to positive COVID-19 tests

The BWF has confirmed that seven players withdrew from the 2022 Indian Open due to testing positive for COVID-19.

The players came to a positive result in mandatory tests conducted on Tuesday, and players with close contact with the seven players, or doubles partners, have also withdrawn from the game.

In the tournament's draw, the retired players will not be replaced and their opponents will win the next round directly.

The epidemic prevention test of this competition is strictly implemented in accordance with the regulations of the World Badminton Federation and the Badminton Association of India to ensure the health and safety of all participants.

The second round of the tournament began today.
