Recently, Dave Curd, the game creative director of PUBG, was interviewed by foreign media Games Radar, in which Dave Curd said that PUBG's conversion to a free-to-play game has nothing to do with other works in the same category.
Dave Curd said in an interview: "The reason we turned PUBG into a free-to-play game is because we felt it was time. With 8 maps, a tight community, and deep gameplay mechanics, the game is free to take more players to PUBG."
