Founded in 1907, Zhengtai Hotel is the earliest and only French-style small Western-style building in Shijiazhuang, Zhengtai Hotel has long been regarded as a landmark building in the early urban history of Shijiazhuang, witnessing the development and change of the city of Shijiazhuang, as early as 2008 has been rated as a cultural relics protection unit in Hebei Province.
According to reports, the documentary "Zhengtai Hotel" was jointly planned and produced by Shijiazhuang Radio and Television Station, Shijiazhuang Central Business District Construction Headquarters Office and other units. The film will consist of three episodes of a humanistic documentary and an episode of a documentary on the restoration of the Zhengtai Hotel. The humanistic documentary unit will excavate the history of Shijiazhuang around the Zhengtai Hotel against the background of the big era and big history, expound the development process of the city, and reproduce the important historical figures and historical events in Shijiazhuang from the Western Affairs Movement to the New Democratic Revolution to the founding of New China. In the restoration documentary part, the film crew will send special personnel to follow the restoration process of the Zhengtai Hotel, and then record various characters such as cultural relics conservators and ordinary workers, showing the unique style of the urban builders in the new era; at the same time, they will also record the important nodes in the restoration process, find the knowledge points and interest points of cultural relics restoration, and record the restoration process of the Zhengtai Hotel.
At the launching ceremony, the protective repair plan of Zhengtai Hotel was released. According to reports, in the renovation project of Zhengtai Hotel, the relevant units will carry out protective repairs to zhengtai hotel in line with the concept of "the old is as old as before, and the ancient is new", under the premise of not changing the architectural style, so that the old building can be reused, the revitalization and regeneration of the old building, as soon as possible for the citizens of our city to provide an open historical and cultural display space, showing the city's profound cultural accumulation and historical heritage. In this regard, Su Ping, responsible designer of the National Cultural Relics Protection Project of the Historical Building Protection and Design Institute of Huajian Group, told reporters: "As early as 2019, we began to investigate, consult materials and other related work, hoping that through our efforts, we will restore and create a historical building that meets the expectations of the people of Shijiazhuang." ”
