Judging from the MPV terminal sales ranking, among these newly launched models, FAW Toyota Grevia has delivered a pretty good report card, with monthly sales of 6,889 units, ranking second on the list, which can be described as a hot sale when it is listed. With 6,309 units sold, the sister model Saina is close behind Grevia.

The Denza D9 becomes the leading model in the MPV market

The cumulative sales volume of the Denza D9 from January to April this year was 32,646 units, ranking first. Last year, it sold 118595 units, ranking first. So far, the Denza D9 has basically taken over the position of the Buick GL8, the myth of the MPV, and has firmly ranked first in the domestic MPV market. Since its launch, the cumulative sales of the DENZA D9 have exceeded 150,000 units, and to paraphrase Zhao Changjiang, General Manager of DENZA Automobile, "the DENZA D9 is the best-selling MPV in the Chinese market".

In the "2023 China Automobile Retention Rate Report", the DENZA D9 also won the title of "the most valuable new energy MPV". The double champion of sales volume + value retention rate confirms its excellent product strength and market recognition.

Judging from the top 10 sales list, independent brands account for 6 percent, but in addition to the sales crown of Denza D9, the top 5 independent brands are only Trumpchi, whose M8 sales are 5114 units, almost catching up with GL8. In April, only five MPVs sold more than 5,000 units: the Denza D9, Grevia, Sena, Buick GL8 and Trumpchi M8.

It is worth mentioning that GAC Trumpchi, with three models in the top 10 of the list. In addition to the M8, the M6 ranked seventh with 3,412 units sold, and the E8 ranked tenth with 2,299 units sold. According to the data released by GAC Trumpchi, MPVs have become its main sales model, with a total of 13,198 MPVs sold in April.

Since the end of last year, the overall sales of the VOYAH Dreamer have gradually and steadily increased, and the VOYAH brand has always been known for its high-quality product strength, and the Dreamer also ranked eighth with 2,822 units sold in April with excellent interior space and excellent handling performance. Dongfeng's popular Lingzhi has also successfully ranked among the top ten with a sales volume of 2,537 units this time, and Lingzhi has been far ahead of the industry with its ultra-high cost performance.

In this list, the relatively rare phenomenon is that Buick GL8 fell out of the top three, with sales of 5,192 units, ranking fourth. However, on April 24, Buick GL8 launched the first intelligent plug-in hybrid version of the new GL8 Luzun PHEV, officially opening the new energy era of GL8. In addition, the joint venture brand is Guangqi Honda's Odyssey, which sold 4,108 units, ranking sixth.

In this way, domestic brands occupy six of the top ten sales, followed by Japanese brands occupying three places, and the American representative Buick GL8 has one seat. Domestic brands have become the biggest winners.
