The concept of meta-universe has been noisy in this year, there are a large number of technology companies at home and abroad want to seize the opportunity of meta-universe, overseas like Facebook and Microsoft have opened the layout early, and many domestic companies like Baidu, Tencent, Ali and other companies are also actively participating. However, there are also some companies that obviously borrow the concept of meta-universe to hype it, and some projects and functions actually have little to do with the meta-universe, but they also have to pull the banner of the meta-universe to rub the hottest hot spot at the moment.

Recently, Huawei launched a new feature in its AR map, called: ShougangYuan Meta Universe. Of course, although this name is metaverse, it is not a metaverse project that Huawei has engaged in, and users cannot enter a virtual environment as a virtual identity to experience the elements of various metaverses. In fact, this is more like an augmented reality project using the AR function of Huawei mobile phones, and has little to do with the metaverse.
Of course, users want to experience this augmented reality content is also very simple, as long as in the Shougang Park Show Pool place through the Huawei mobile phone AR map scanning, you can enter the Ar content of Shougang Park, such as users can enjoy virtual robot band performances and virtual light shows. In addition, in some attractions in Shougang Park, such as the three blast furnaces, underwater exhibition halls and other attractions can also use mobile phone punch cards to experience some projects, while also participating in AR team battle games to get augmented reality game experience.
In fact, we can see this kind of project in many places, some are using app, some are using the phone's own AR function, but these are actually not related to the meta-universe Mao, and the corresponding content form has been realized for a long time. If this is also a metaverse, then when the Nintendo console 3DS scans cards to play AR games, has it not become the ancestor of metaverse games? Therefore, everyone does not have to care too much about this thing, even if Shougang and Huawei rub a hot spot in the meta-universe.
However, Shougang and Huawei's project is very high-profile, saying that through steel equipment, three-dimensional space, mecha spaceship, intelligent machines, holographic advertising, colorful lights and other future elements to create a meta-universe complex that integrates the past, present and future, and build a cyberpunk-style immersive panoramic experience and future science fiction city in the form of multiplayer interactive games.
However, this so-called metaverse complex is also a vague word, if only rely on the AR function of a mobile phone can achieve the metacosm, it is indeed more funny, not to mention that the most critical elements of the metacosm can not be reflected in this type of AR project. Decentralization, economic life, and new social systems are all not felt, nor can they be said to be virtual worlds parallel to the real space, of course, users cannot live virtually in them and create new content.
Of course, we are not looking forward to the launch of mature metaverse projects at this stage, but we feel that we should be wary of many companies hanging sheep's heads to sell dog meat, and hype up the concept of metacosm. At least at present, no company in China can have a voice in the metaverse, and we do not think that only one company can support the banner of the metacosm! Of course, although it has nothing to do with the metaverse, it cannot be said that the AR project of Huawei and Shougang Park is not fun, and if the concept of the metacosm is abandoned, it is not a bad thing to get more augmented reality experience on mobile phones.
