In order to strengthen the construction of the Chinese women's volleyball team and successfully complete the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, the 2022 World Championships, the 2023 World Cup and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, yesterday afternoon, the Volleyball Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport issued an announcement on the selection and appointment of the head coach of the national women's volleyball team.

The State General Administration of Sport attaches great importance to the selection and recruitment of the head coach of the new Chinese women's volleyball team, and clarifies the guiding ideology, on the basis of comprehensively and deeply summarizing the preparation work for the Tokyo Olympic Games, adheres to the promotion of democracy, seeks truth from facts, and insists on open, fair and just selection of a new national women's volleyball head coach who can lead the Chinese women's volleyball team to achieve better results and inherit and carry forward the spirit of the women's volleyball team in the new era.

The Drainage Management Center announced the selection of leading group members and expert group members. The leader of the leading group is Liu Guoyong (deputy director of the State General Administration of Sports), and the deputy leaders are Li Quanqiang (director of the Platoon Management Center of the General Administration of Sport), Cao Jingwei (deputy director of the Department of Athletics and Sports of the General Administration of Sports), Lai Yawen (deputy director of the Platoon Management Center of the General Administration of Sports), and Yu Guangyan (deputy director of the Platoon Management Center of the General Administration of Sports).

The leader of the expert group is Zhong Bingshu, a volleyball coach, and the deputy leader is Lai Yawen, the chief reporter of the sports department of Xinhua News Agency and a member of the International Volleyball Federation Marketing and Media Committee, while the members include Chen Zhonghe, former deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and former head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team, Lang Ping, former head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team, Shen Fulin, former head coach of the Chinese men's volleyball team, Dr. Volleyball and zhang Xin, an international referee. Lang Ping became a member of the team of coach selection experts, which means that she will not return to the Chinese women's volleyball team.
