On January 11, Jimu News reporter learned that the creator of this ice and snow painting was Dou Heng, a 48-year-old art teacher at Ruiguang Primary School in Baicheng City.
"I didn't expect so many people to like it." At noon on January 11, Teacher Dou Heng told Jimu News that since 2016, he will use the ice and snow advantages of Baicheng every winter to create a large-scale ice and snow painting, which was previously created on the playground of Ruiguang Primary School, and this winter because it is about to usher in the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, so he created a "Winter Dream" ice and snow painting to express his blessings for the Beijing Winter Olympics and wish the Beijing Winter Olympics a complete success. Teacher Dou Heng said that the painting was created from December 31, 2021 in the Unity Reservoir of Chaganhot in Baicheng City, and was completed until January 11, and the whole creation took 4 full days.
In addition to the local organization of activities on the last day and the help of some local students to color the five-ring figure, most of the work in the creation process of the entire ice and snow painting was completed by Teacher Dou Heng alone on the ice surface of more than 20 degrees below zero.
Teacher Dou Heng introduced that this ice and snow painting is about 100 meters long, about 60 meters wide, and has an area of nearly 6,000 square meters, with the ice and snow of the Chaganhot Unity Reservoir as raw materials, and the Beijing Winter Olympics emblem "Winter Dream" as the prototype for creation.
