Previously, the "Liuzhou Intelligent Connected Vehicle Road Test and Demonstration Application Management Implementation Rules (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Rules") has made it clear that road testing refers to the intelligent network vehicle automatic driving function test activities carried out on highways (including highways), urban roads, regional areas and other designated sections of various roads for social motor vehicles.
According to the requirements, the three open road test route areas are located in Liudong New District, Yanghe Industrial New Area, and the road range of 18 sections involves Sanmenjiang Bridge, Shuguang Avenue, Xinliu Avenue, Boyuan Avenue, Yanghe Avenue, Yanghe South Road, East Outer Ring Expressway, Shuangren Road, Baojun Avenue, East Outer Ring Road, Guantang Avenue, Cheyuan Henger Road, Cheyuan Longitudinal Sixth Road, Cheyuan Hengyi Road, Cheyuan Longitudinal Fourth Road, Fucheng Avenue, etc., with a total length of about 50.3 kilometers. Intelligent networked vehicles for road testing need to obtain road test licenses before they can be tested on the road, and at the same time, they need to avoid the morning and evening rush hours and the congestion period on and off the road, and must not affect the normal passage of buses, and the road test of autonomous vehicles is prohibited under bad weather conditions such as rain, snow and fog.

Will public road testing have an impact on other moving vehicles? The reporter learned that the body of the road test or demonstration application vehicle should be marked with the words "automatic driving test" or "automatic driving demonstration application" in a unified and eye-catching color to remind surrounding vehicles and pedestrians to pay attention. The driver of a road test or demonstration application should always be in the driver's seat of the vehicle, always monitor the vehicle's operating status and surroundings, and be ready to take over the vehicle at all times. When the test driver finds that the vehicle is in a state that is not suitable for automatic driving or the system prompts that manual operation is required, the vehicle should be taken over in time to ensure that the vehicle is safe to drive on the open road.
So, what does road testing include? According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Big Data Development Bureau, according to the Detailed Implementing Rules, the general detection projects include traffic signal recognition and response, road traffic infrastructure and obstacle identification and response, pedestrian and non-motor vehicle identification and response, surrounding vehicle driving status identification and response, dynamic driving task intervention and takeover, etc.
