However, the "Moutai Time and Space" WeChat public account issued an article on January 7, saying that "Moutai wants to enter the meta-universe" is really a perversion, "meta-universe" is only a concept reference in the speech, Moutai wants to express is to continue to improve the scientific and technological innovation service production and technical research capabilities, through scientific and technological energy to provide technical support for the high-quality and stable production of Moutai wine and series of wines.

It is worth mentioning that the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission recently published an article saying that rationally looking at the new round of technological revolution and impact on society brought about by the metacosm, we do not underestimate the opportunities of 5-10 years, nor do we overestimate the evolution and changes in 1-2 years. The number of meta-universe trademark applications in China reached 12,000

Zhongxin Jingwei noted that with the popularity of the meta-universe, the trademark registration related to it is even more hot.

According to the data of Tianyancha APP, as of December 30, 2021, there have been more than 12,000 trademark applications in China with the name "Meta universe", and the number of trademark applications with the name "Meta" and "METAVERSE" is also more than 1,700 and more than 1,000 respectively. In addition to Alibaba, Tencent, NetEase, Baidu and other Internet manufacturers, the relevant trademark applicants also include many companies in other industries.

Among them, in terms of car companies, SAIC Motor has applied for hundreds of trademarks related to "meta-universe", including "Cheyuan Universe", "Cheyuan Universe Z-UNIVERSE", "Roewe Meta universe" and so on. Beijing Chehejia Information Technology Co., Ltd., an affiliate of Ideal Automobile, applied for the registration of trademarks such as "Ideal Meta Universe". In addition, Xiaopeng Automobile, NIO Automobile and FAW Group all applied for the registration of trademark categories related to Meta-Universe.

In terms of home appliance enterprises, Hisense Group Co., Ltd. applied for trademarks such as "Hisense Yuan Universe", "Hisense Family Meta Universe" and "Hisense Aijia Yuan Universe", and the international classification involved advertising sales, social services, scientific instruments, etc. Sichuan Changhong Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. applied for the registration of trademarks such as "Changhong Yuan Universe" and "Hong Yuan Universe".

Shuanghui, known for its meat processing, also followed. It is reported that Henan Shuanghui Investment and Development Co., Ltd. applied for the registration of the "native universe" trademark, and the international classification involves fitness equipment and food.

Toothpaste companies also applied for admission. Previously, Chongqing Dengkang Oral Care Products Co., Ltd. applied for the registration of a number of "cold acid Lingyuan Universe", "Ling Universe" and "LESENING-METAVERSE" trademarks, and the international classification involved daily chemical products, kitchen sanitary ware, etc.

In terms of alcohol, tianyancha APP data shows that there are more than 120 applications for related "meta-universe" trademarks that are internationally classified as "wine". Among them, the Moutai Yuan Universe trademark has been preemptively registered by many parties, and public information shows that the trademarks of "Moutai Yuan Universe" and "Guizhou Moutai Yuan Universe" have been applied for registration by a number of companies in November and December 2021. It is reported that these companies have nothing to do with moutai group.

Zhongxin Jingwei found that although the number of related trademarks applied by the above-mentioned enterprises is quite large, most of them are in the stage of "trademark application" or "waiting for substantive examination".

Zhongxin Jingwei also noted that many enterprises have bluntly stated that applying for relevant trademarks is actually a protective registration.

Michelle Ice City said that the meta-universe trademark is only a protective registration, in order to avoid possible counterfeiting in the future, there is no clear plan and action in the meta-universe field for the time being.

Perfect Diary affiliated company Yixian E-commerce also said when talking about the application for registration of Chinese and English trademarks such as "Perfect Diary Meta universe" and "Pi Ke Xiong Meta Universe" that the above actions are for the protection of trademarks, and the company has no meta-universe plan.

Su Xiaorui, senior analyst of Analysys, told the media that the concept of meta-universe is currently in the limelight, and although some companies have not officially carried out meta-universe-related business, they can lay out in advance from the trademark, which can not only eat a "reassuring pill" for themselves, but also prevent brand disputes that may arise in the future.

Rationally look at the concept of metacosmology as it heats up

The metacosm is like a basket, and it seems that anything can be loaded into it. How should we view the metaverse?

Ma Tianyi, chief analyst of the meta-universe industry of the Minsheng Research Institute, believes that the biggest problem in the meta-universe at present is the public opinion bubble and capital speculation. In his view, irrational public opinion bubbles will lead to irrational stock market shocks, and capital speculation will trigger market pursuit, leading to regulatory intervention. "There are still many uncertainties in the embryonic metacosm, and both the industry and the market urgently need to return to rationality."

Haitong International Research Report pointed out that the current development of the metacosm is still in the initial embryonic stage, there is still a certain distance from the complete landing, and there is still a large space for development of various underlying technologies.

According to the analysis of the Equity Research Department of the Oriental Fund, the current technology (VR/AR, virtual people, blockchain, etc.) and infrastructure (5G, 6G, chips, etc.) are far from meeting the requirements, but with the development of hardware and technology, the prototype of the metacosm will appear. The research department believes that the industrial chain of the meta-universe is very long, and the VR/AR, games, etc. that have recently been concerned by the market are only one of the key technologies or possible applications, and the improvement of its ultimate form still requires the long-term construction of many technical links.
