IT home January 9 news, on CES, Lenovo released Legion 5 and Legion 5i notebooks, corresponding to the domestic R7000P and Y7000P models. The mold of the new model has some changes, which is more square than the old model. In terms of configuration, the 12th generation Core and Ryzen™ 6000H processors are optional, and the graphics card can be selected from the latest RTX 30 series.

In terms of configuration, the Y7000P can be configured up to the Intel 12th Generation Core i7-12700H, while the R7000P is equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen 6000H series APUs. Both can be configured with up to 32 GB of DDR5-4800 memory and up to 1 TB of PCie Gen 4 SSD. Both models are available with up to 125 W TDP of the RTX 3070 Ti.
Lenovo says the series offers the Legion TrueStrike keyboard with a 33% noise reduction and a 1.5mm key travel. The keyboard can be configured to provide only white backlighting or 4-zone RGB illumination with replaceable WASD keycaps.
The difference is that the Y7000P can provide a Thunderbolt 4 port and a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 output, but the R7000P provides two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports.
The Lenovo Legion 5i with Intel Alder Lake-H will be available from February for $1199.99 (about CNY 7643.94) and the Legion 5 with AMD Ryzen 6000 H APU will be available from April for $1129.99 (approximately CNY 7198.04).
