But no one thought that the things they were plotting were still leaking, Yang Jian originally thought that he could eliminate the people of the Yuwen family, but Yuwen Zhao, the king of Zhao, was the son of Emperor Wenwen Tai, and he was also older, and they were killed by Yang Jian when they first came to Chang'an, which inevitably had an impact.
However, Yang Jian also knew that they wanted to conspire to kill him, so Yang Jian had to choose the relatively small Yuwen Xian, and was eventually killed on the charge of treason.
The death of Yuwen Xian also worried Yuwen Zhao and others, so they decided that they could not delay it any longer, but should kill Yang Jian as soon as possible to prevent the government from really being enveloped by Yang Jian.
But now that the emperor was faint and incompetent, it was certainly impossible to count on the emperor, and the puppet emperor was still in the hands of Yang Jian, so Yuwen Zhao decided to do it himself.

3. Political enemies who have been let go
Yuwen Zhao thought of a way to invite Yang Jian to his home and kill him. Yang Jian naturally also understood that Yuwen Zhao was looking for him just to get started, so he took the wine and wine glass with him, afraid that Yuwen Zhao would poison him.
However, Yang Jian did not expect that Yuwen Zhao buried the soldiers in the house and killed Yang Jian after the third round of drinking. Because it was in such a private place as the sleeping hall, Yang Jian could not bring many people and horses, so in the end only Yang Jian and Yuan Ji entered.
During the period of entertaining Yang Jian, Yuwen Zhao has been taking a knife to cut melons for Yang Jian to eat, and Yuan Ji is watching from the side, always feeling that Yuwen Zhao cutting melons is some secret code, so he has been urging Yang Jian to leave.

Yuwen saw the situation and wanted to split the Yuan Gong apart, but the Yuan Guan Protector was eager and did not want to leave, and followed Yang Jian closely. Yuan Ji repeatedly signaled that Yang Jian should leave.
However, Yang Jian believed that Yuwen Zhao did not have an army of men and horses, so he should not blatantly kill him, so Yang Jian did not plan to leave.
However, Yuan Ji still heard the sound of armor crashing in the main hall, and he understood more that the situation was not right, so in the end he still used the excuse that there were still many things in the palace to deal with in a hurry, and forcibly dragged Yang Jian away.
After Yuwen Zhao saw it, he naturally wanted to block it, but Yuan Ji blocked the door with his body, letting Yang Jian take the lead in leaving, and then chased him out.
It was this banquet that made Yang Jian realize that he should find a way to deal with the political enemies in the imperial court, and Yuwen Zhao on the other side was also remorseful for letting Yang Jian go.
