Four units allow you to learn about the real history of air defense.

It has been learned that the exhibition of the Chongqing Civil Air Defense History Exhibition Hall is divided into four units: the history of air raids, the people's casting defense, the prevention of troubles before they occur, and the thinking of danger in times of peace.

The first unit, The History of Air Raids, reviews the events of air raids in human history and their destructive effects.

The second unit, the people casting defense, tells the history of air defense and popularizes the knowledge of civil air defense.

The third unit, Prevention before Problems Occurs, focuses on the use cases of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons in war and basic protection knowledge.

The fourth unit, thinking of danger in times of peace, science and technology safety protection knowledge.

After the opening ceremony, under the leadership of director Fan Jianchuan, everyone visited the Chongqing Civil Air Defense History Exhibition Hall.

The story of a roster

"We have more than 4,000 cultural relics this time, and only more than 1,600 are currently on display, and the exhibits will be rotated regularly in the future." Fan Jianchuan introduced that among these cultural relics, there are 16 national first-class cultural relics, 1 second-class cultural relics, and 10 third-class cultural relics.

Among them, Director Fan especially told the story of a third-class cultural relic. A roster of the Chongqing Air Defense Commission's excavation and burial brigade numbered several hundred people.

"When I saw this, I was heartbroken." Fan Jianchuan's face was bitter. He said that once, when interviewing an old man in the roster, the old man's words shocked him.

The old man said that some people died in the war, and there was no crane and other equipment at that time, so the body could only be exhumed with bare hands. Many times, digging a person, it may take more than a dozen people to dig together, and it will take a long time to dig, and the burial brigade has existed for five or six years.

Fan Jianchuan said that the story of this cultural relic fully illustrates how much disaster and loss it brought to our lives and property during the war in that year. "Now, I especially hope that more young people will come to the museum to see, we must cherish the current peaceful life, always be prepared, think of danger in times of peace, in order to have a happier future."
