The Imperial City Xiangfu was the former residence of Chen Tingjing, the famous minister who assisted the Kangxi Emperor in the Qing Dynasty. The Imperial City Xiangfu is a complex of official eunuch residences built in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The inner city was built by Chen Tingjing's uncle Chen Changyan in the sixth year of Ming Chongzhen (1633) to avoid war.
The outer city was completed in the 42nd year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1703). According to historical records, Chen Tingjing entered the priesthood at the age of 21, entered the army for 53 years, was promoted 28 times, and served as a lecturer for the Kangxi Emperor for 35 years to preach and discuss history, and was a humeral minister of the Kangxi Dynasty. Not only that, his Chen family is also full of talents, and in the 260 years between Emperor Xiaozong of the Imperial City and Qianlong (1501-1760 AD), a total of 41 Gongsheng and 19 Juren, and 9 of them were jinshi and 6 of them entered Hanlin.
