Game market analysis firm Newzoo analyzed the degree of player audience overlap in Final Fantasy XIV. The survey results show that the game that most overlaps with the Final Fantasy XIV player audience is League of Legends.
Final Fantasy XIV players have a 17% overlap with League of Legends players, followed by Apex Heroes (12%), World of Warcraft (10%), Minecraft (9%), Protos (9%), and Destiny 2 (7%). This data comes from Newzoo's analysis of player coincidences in a single month in August 2021.
In addition, Newzoo also released data related to the construction of the puzzle game "Robles", and the game with the highest overlap with the "Robles" player audience is "Minecraft", with a coincidence of up to 49%. This was followed by Fortnite (21%), CS:GO (18%), Valorant (18%), and League of Legends (13%).
