How many times in the past many years, someone asked about my hometown. Always answer without hesitation: Luoyang.
Luoyang is the place where my dreams haunt my soul in this life. My hometown is Luoyang.
Although, at the end of 1986, the administrative area had been placed under the jurisdiction of the new coal city of Pingdingshan, I still deeply recognized myself as a Luoyang native. Pingdingshan is like a child's parents who have passed on when they grow up, so there is always some hidden resistance in the heart of Pingdingshan.
When I was still very young, some people in the village rode bicycles to Luoyang early in the morning to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables, and they could go back and forth in half a day, feeling very close to Luoyang.
Since childhood, Luoyang dialect, Luoyang vinegar, Luoyang water seat, Luoyang Yu opera, Luoyang peony, Wang Cheng Park, White Horse Temple, Longmen Grottoes, Xiangshan, Luoshui, Luoshen, etc., are all palms with open mouths. Luoyang is really too close, out of the westernmost hot spring town in Ruzhou can not take tens of minutes to reach Luoyang.
Therefore, some people say that Ruzhou does not belong to Pingdingshan, and I say that when I was assigned to Pingdingshan, I had already left my hometown. So I only have Luoyang in my heart, not Pingdingshan.
Ruzhou is half an hour away from Luoyang, while it takes several hours to reach Pingdingshan. Pingdingshan is like a monster that suddenly breaks into life after a person grows up, and it is difficult to accept from the heart. Besides, the Pingxiang Mountains are sparsely populated, where is it like a city? Some are just coal mines, where is the popularity?
If a person has feelings for a place, no matter how the boundaries are divided above, they will always be inseparable from the depths of their hearts.
My hometown is Luoyang, and I am a native of Luoyang.
When Ruzhou came under the jurisdiction of Pingdingshan that year, I had already left my hometown of Ruzhou. So I only have Luoyang in my heart. That's where I am.
The pen name I wrote was Luoyang Dongren. No matter how many years I have been, how old the years have gone, and no matter how the administrative region is divided, I am a Luoyang native.
My hometown is Luoyang.
