Dakar SS4: Al Raj Stage Champion Peter suffered another malfunction

The 2022 Dakar Rally ended the race for stage 4 on 5 January. Saudi Arabian driver Al Raj won the stage, Qatari driver Atiyah finished second and went on to lead the overall results table, and France's Loeb finished third in the stage.

The SS4 stage departs from Kesuma and finishes in Riyadh. The total length of the stage is 707 kilometers, and the special stage is 465 kilometers, which is also the longest stage of this year's competition.

Audi Team Sainz finished fourth in the stage, but his French teammate Peter Hansel once again suffered a mechanical failure and was forced to wait for rescue. Peter Hansel said: "We broke the shock absorber when we flew to the ground, and also damaged the water cooling system of the engine. We had to wait for the rescue trucks to be replaced with new shock absorbers and repair the cooling system. I think we'll be here for a long time. ”
